 Post subject: Eisley AIM ChatroomPosted: Tue Jul 01, 2003 6:34 am 
I thought it would be cool for us to have an Eisley chat room on AIM. They are rather fun and you get to meet and get to know many new people. So I started one called: Laughing City Rather creative.. I know. 
There are 3 ways you can get into the chatroom. 1) Add yourself to your buddy list and invite yourself to the room. Be sure to enter "Laughing City" in the room name instead of what comes up. 2) Make sure you are signed on AIM and go here: http://www.angelfire.com/extreme4/theelms/eisley.htm And click on the link. It will send you to the room. 3) If all of these fail you can IM me at LemonadeSurprise and I will invite you. (If I'm online.) For all you folks that are using AOL. I have no idea how to get into chatrooms with AOL. I don't use AOL it is evil. 
Justin has visited the room a couple of times. So has Tex. Jon tried.. but AIM is evil and boots him for some odd reason. So I hope all of you will join us in the chatroom. I've found that keeping the chat up 24/7 is the best way to run an AIM chat. Instead of having set times to chat. When you get to the chatroom you can make a shortcut appear on your desktop so that all you have to do is sign on AIM and click the icon and viola you are in the room. To make the shortcut after you get in the room go to: File Create Shortcut A little window will appear telling you that it will create a link to the chat on your desktop. Click "ok." I like the idea of an AIM Eisley chat room very much. Perhaps I'll drop by sometime. But not before next week. I'm leaving for Seattle tomorrow and won't be back until Monday. Well, the idea had been proposed before... but it didn't catch on. Probably because it was buried in the middle of a thread about something else. But I would still call lemonadesurprise a genius for giving the idea its own thread... and especially for putting the link in a signature.
