Do you think Eisley sounds (even remotely) like any other bands?

—Ok, so Eisley's myspace has this section for listing other bands that would give unfamiliar prospects an idea of what kind of music Eisley makes. The weird thing about this.... is they haven't listed any!

—If YOU were Eisley: would you also decide, that since your music is so unbelievably unmatched and unique sounding, to not list any other bands in the "sounds like" section?

—If not, which other band or bands do you think would make sense being listed there? Think about it now, are there even just a few out there that might be a little bit similar?

The only one I would even REMOTELY sounds like Eisley is maybe...Midlake. To me, they sound like a cross between Radiohead and Eisley (which is sort of funny...just because there are some less obvious similarities between Eisley and Radiohead.)

—I always thought they had they same sorta sound style as All Saints, Tatu and M2M (and a few others I'm forgetting).

I have a pretty hard time matching Eisley's sound to any other bands. There are some similarities to other bands. Mostly in terms of tones. Vocals tend to sound like a clearer Leigh Nash(this goes for both Sherri and Stacy). Guitar tones are jangly, which probably has something to do with the gear that is being used. I mean, can you get anymore holy grail of guitar tone than a Rickenbacker running into an AC30? You can really hear their influences through their harmonies though.

They remind me of Sigur Ros, sometimes.
Weird. But whatever.

I think occasionally you can hear some influences from other bands. But Eisley is incredibly unique.

i had eisley playing at work and a man with his child came in and asked who it was... when i told him he said, "oh i thought it may have been sigur ros..." then he went on to compare them to radiohead's 'kid a' album...

i feel though that while there are some similarities to other bands... eisley is in a league of their own soundwise...

They are like nothing I have ever heard before, and that's why I love them so much! They are totally unique and different which to be so different and so good is hard to do these days, so many bands just imitate other bands, and true they may be good, but they are not unique, Eisley is Extremely unique and good!! If they sound like another band then I haven't heard the other band because they are Unique to me!!
