Looking at song lists, song order today... Keep in mind, UKfriends, that none of your countrymen have heard any of this stuff really - save the 20,000 who saw them at V-Fest. Only a hand of you have Laughing City. But there are no Eisley recordings among you...at all. zero. ziltch. noi-noi. (made that language up) So...this is the proposed line up - not in final order or anything: Marvelous Things Memories Telescope Eyes I Wasn't Prepared TreeTops Laughing City I know some of you might disagree...but, it's a good sampling of their tunes. Don't worry...of course, you guys can buy the Marvelous Things US release with the 2 other songs... Sea King and The Winter Song. Also, keep in mind that the full length begins right after this tour... some of these songs...maybe just 2 or 3 could possibly be revisited and improved greatly. We'll probably call it "Marvelous Things" and keep the same graphics with a few modifications for this UK ep. I'm also working on a poster that has Laughing City stuff on one side/Marvelous Things ont the other side. And a new T-shirt for this US tour...and buttons and stickers.... Gotta go. Just keeping you informed. I'll be glad to take arguments and questions if you have any.... "yes, Juan.... yes. yes, I know you aren't a big fan of TreeTops... yes, but Chris Martin is." NEXT!... Boyd just kidding Stephen. yoo numbah wan. or...Sinead is numbah wan? You and Lisa tied fo' numbah 2 fan. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. i think if you have human money...or even an authentic hairless ape suit, you could get the ep. But, I guess we'll be like those guys across the pond...buying on Amazon and paying acrossthepond shipping, right? I mean, EISLEY won't have to...but, we also won't be stocking merch. I don't know really. bd _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. thats cool Boyd, not a huge fan of treetops no, but i dont mean that in a bad way, at least i'm honest, however the band would probably take offence since my critisim isnt really constructive, nevermind. still a good line up of songs though. having 6 different songs does this mean that the ep couldnt be considered for the uk singles chart, uk fans? i dont know, its not really a single anyway is it. still very much looking forward to seeing what the reaction from the uk is. if the band get some good promotion over here i can see them doing really well because its music that can appeal to many many people, its somthing that doesnt seem to appeal to just one age group of people, like most pop(ular) music in the uk. and importatnly its something different yet when listening to Eisley music it sounds so familar, intriguing.... anywayz regarding the release, i'm assuming it'll be sometime early-ish next year then? i must be off to the library. laters. _________________ "A mathematician is a blind man in a dark room looking for a black cat which isn't there." - Charles Darwin (legend) |

Juan. hmm. maybe it's a cultural thing...but us US-ians like TreeTops. The other night at the show, they got a big applause just by announcing the song. And I know, I've beat this dead horse with a big stick, but I believe it's Chris Martin's fav' Eisley song. (i'll have to see if I can find that moment where he sings it at their warm up) But, either way, I guess we'll find out soon enough what you guys think of the band overall. Still, there's very little awareness of the band. No press or anything. Maybe that's good. But without touring and at least a little marketing, who's gonna even know it's in stores. shallow thoughts. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. well perhaps it wouldnt be a great idea to release it wihtout promotion. doesnt someone sort that stuff out for the band? lets face it, its not really going to sell many copies without promotion so i'm sure someone sorts that out. anyway, cant wait. and well Chris Martin likes treetops so i must start liking it not to labour the point but its not like i think its like the worst song ever, i just think its one of their weaker songs, it would necessarily be a bad thing to have it on the full length. _________________ "A mathematician is a blind man in a dark room looking for a black cat which isn't there." - Charles Darwin (legend) |
