All I remember is my mom telling me what she would do to me if I ever get pregnant, sex is bad, and yes oral counts as sex.
It took a long time to undo the damage she caused on my views of intimacy.

She lies. She and her husband sleep in different beds.

Actually, we did for the first year that we lived together!! I practically sleep on top of him now!!

Hahahaha. That's hilarious. I'm surprised you aren't preggers. Laughing Wink

Ha. You just jinxed me. Thanks.

I just got you pregnant.

Later this month my brother is venturing to Reading festival and my parents want me to give him the aforementioned "awkward talk". Through humorous anecdote and knowing smiles I must sheath and save my second in command!

It wasn't that awkward...because that's just how my dad is...I dunno how to describe it...it's like everyone looks up to him...people his age, people my age, etc. I really just laughed at it...

Golly, Poster

i got the puberty talk. but so far thats it. i'm sure in the future i'll get more of those talks. im crossing my fingers that i wont, because when my mom tries to talk to me about stuff its really awkward, just because she'll just be really frank, or she'll use little code words or something. it's pretty funny. i remember when they had that whole puberty/sex ed thing in 4th grade(why 4th grade?!?! that doesnt make any sense to me.) and when i gave her the paper to sign, she was like "WHAT IS THIS?!?! why cant I just teach you this stuff?!?"

HAHA oh man, i remember that some kid barfed during the movie. it was hilarious. Laughing

My parents tried to breach the sex subject shortly after we all watched The Waterboy one night, but I saw it coming a mile away and forced the conversation away from that. 'Cause my parents are great and all, but if we had started into that talk, it's a certainty that it WOULD have been awkward.
