I'd say go for drumming. Everyone plays guitar, and if you know how to drum, you'd be in high demand for bands. Make time! Music is fun. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

I love weston's drumming. I always tap the drums to I could be there for you and head against the sky. I have a drum set, but no one uses it and my brother would snap at me if I did because it was originally his. The guitars are freakin awesome, but I don't think I could play one. _________________ http://www.flickr.com/photos/karatherecluse http://www.rosewhiteboyhood.tumblr.com |

I agree with Kim bass players are the hardest to find i know wayyyy more people who play drums than bass I play guitar as default, but i usually end up playing bass for my church cause no one else does People think bass isnt fun or anything,or they arent appreciated but if you get good at it, you can come up with some killer stuff just look at muse |

Yea i play bass. A lot of people don't play bass because you can't really entertain someone with a bass guitar alone unless your like Victor Wooten ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9a4ThBNacY )lol. The only way to entertain yourself even in my opinion is play along with songs on the pc or jamming. Personally i really enjoy playing with the song Sun Feet that song has an amazing bassline, my eisley fav. stumple13 wrote: I agree with Kim

I play guitar and a little bit of piano, but I always want to keep picking up more instruments (drums, bass). Maybe I should just focus on guitar and get really good at it . I dont know much theory at all which is my weak point. I think that if you are in a band playing ANY instrument it would be fun. Bass players look pretty sweet when they are playing IMO. Kind of like they are too cool for school... swaying side to side with their index and middle finger plucking out some sweet bass lines. |

i saw this band called Sevenstar play at a coffeehouse and their bassist was crazy. i'm not even kidding, this guy is still the best bassist i've ever seen. this was quite a few years ago so i don't know if they're still together even. but yeah, my siblings and i loved how amazing he was. i play piano, some guitar, some accordian, glockenspiel, and i really want to learn cello and drums. i can play drums, but just simple stuff, however i could play most of ICBTFY. _________________ cynlovescandy wrote: kulvir wrote: I bet R. Yes, I agree.. the bass is probably the most under-appreciated but also one of the most important instruments needed. Seriously, without the bass, a song sounds so empty. I mean one time, during our jazz band class, our bassist was gone to take a driver's test, and during this latin song we were playing everyone just stopped and looked around and we were all confused. It turned out the bass had carried that part of the song, but 'cause we couldn't hear it we were all thrown off. I love our church band cause you can always hear the bass. We have this uber-loud bass amp that just rocks your soul. I love the feel of the bass thumping in your heart, haha. And yes, Muse is awesome. The bassist is amazing. The drummer is amazing. The lead singer/guitarist is amazing. The band is amazing. lol Drums is probably close second to having least number of people take up. And I would second the notion of taking up drums. I play drums, but I actually played guitar first. Until our praise band at church needed drums.. I was the only one with previous experience, so I got to learn. I personally wouldn't go back to playing guitar. =P Drums rock. Quite literally. So go with drums! |
