Eisley used the marxophone on the new album. Yes? No? I'm really hoping so. I love the sound of it...which is why I'm trying to get one. _________________ cynlovescandy wrote: kulvir wrote: I bet R. I want to get one too. But only because I'm a communist. I'm thinking the new album will have a lot less of the creative arrangements and excessive bizarre instruments we heard on Combinations (somebody will be pleased there's no gamelan), just based on the song clips Boyd put on the videos. Seems like it'll be a more straightforward guitar-and-keys album. But they might still surprise us! _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

Yeah, I kind of figured. However, we've only heard clips of 4 songs at the most, correct? So you're right, they might suprise us. I just think it'd be a waste for them to buy it and only use it for one song, you know? Crossing my fingers. _________________ cynlovescandy wrote: kulvir wrote: I bet R. I haven't heard of it being used on this album, but you never know what they might have in there. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

It would be pretty awesome if they worked it into a live version of "Marvelous Thing", though. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

That'd rock. _________________ cynlovescandy wrote: kulvir wrote: I bet R. Kelly approves of peeing in the shower. The world is R. Kelly's shower. It's a golden world. Haha, the one I'm getting is actually made by a different company and it's called a Jubaltone but it's the exact same thing as a Marxophone. Gotta love it. $75, not bad at all. _________________ cynlovescandy wrote: kulvir wrote: I bet R. Kelly approves of peeing in the shower. The world is R. Kelly's shower. It's a golden world. I'd love to hear it again on the new record. Actually the only other time I've seen an artist use one or mention one is when I was watching a tv performance/interview from bat for lashes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9ZQaT_PHAU at about :30). Anyway, I love the way they sound. Such an interesting instrument! _________________ |

Yeah I thought I had seen one used on their Letterman performance. It looked bigger than I thought it was at that time though. _________________ we're really not alone, we have each other |
