Here it is. The entire song. Yup, still my favorite off the EP (from what we've heard so far), definitely gives a better impression than the live version and the 30-second teaser I really enjoy the last couple of minutes of the song. The guitar tones and the choir-esque sounding vocals in the end sound amazing! Excited for the entire EP to be released! Quote: "One Last Song" has an ambient quality, lead by lead singer Sherri Gilbert's lilting vocals. _________________ |

Didn't really like it. It wasn't awful or anything, I just kept thinking that if it wasn't Sherri singing I probably wouldn't ever listen to it again. I'll give it a few more goes before I write it off completely. _________________ "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated" -Mahatma, Gandhi |

Hmmm... Something about the studio version isn't doing it for me. I dunno what it is. I LOVE the live version and I was super pumped to hear the studio version. _________________ |

Wasn't expecting that ending. I really like the fade out. I don't know if I like it better than the ending they give it live cause Chauntelle's guitar work is superb and that ending was my favorite part. However, for the studio version, I really like that they made it the last song and faded out. I think it fitting. Also, many of us have been saying that Eisley should mix it up a bit when they play live and now they have. I like both version for different reasons, but I think this will be the top bill on Deep Space for me. Maybe not, but as for now, I'm calling it like I see it. _________________ cynlovescandy wrote: kulvir wrote: I bet R. Kelly approves of peeing in the shower. The world is R. Kelly's shower. I like it. It's not over the top exciting, but I know I'll enjoy listening to it full blast in my car. It's calming and nice to listen to. And it's catchy, already stuck in my head! _________________ www.kailahandler.bandcamp.com |

Also, I stand by my previous statement that the music to the second half of this song is Kashmir's "Ruby Over Diamonds"-esque. I seriously love it. I've been listening to it all day for the second half alone. I think tahruh said it best. The first half is good; really good, actually, but the last half is beyond great. _________________ cynlovescandy wrote: kulvir wrote: I bet R. Kelly approves of peeing in the shower. The world is R. Never trust the distorted sounds of bootleg recordings that aren't coming from a Direct Out, AUX send or the Board Mains. So, I'm really enjoying it, and thinking of how if fits the EP closer tradition of a mellow downtempo, as in Laughing City & The Winter Song, but when you think about it, they've ended near every album that way too, albeit Trolleywood is a little more perked up, but If You're Wondering and Ambulance are also downtempo too. I like the main verse much better now that I have the studio version to listen to. Credit where it's due, The Rhodes is what does it for me. Their harmonies sound better than ever. If anything, the jam at the end makes me think of Mister Joseph posting that story about the first time he went to interview the band at their house and heard what sounded like Portishead coming from upstairs, and it was Stacy... _________________ yup, that's my name. Well, I freaking love it. Probably going to be the only keeper on the EP. Honestly, it's so damn good. The guitar that kicks in about half way sounds like REALLY early Eisley. <3 Eisley really needs to do some 20-minute art rock song like Emerson, Lake, and Palmer. |
