They are such good sports to do goofy crap like this - wandering along a gravel road, competing with whatever voice is blaring from the megaphones down the hill, and still managing to sound great! Love Stacy's flower crown too. _________________ http://www.twitter.com/drstrangeblog http://www.last.fm/user/getinline I can't find the time to write my mind the way I want it to read. |

I wouldn't call it goofy crap . . . I think the walking down the gravel road out in the country is probably the best setting for any special video they've done for a song. The setting is not ideal though, with all the competing sounds coming in from the stage nearby. |

I was sort of surprised that they would choose Mr. Moon. Great song, but on emotional level it's so intense. These "take-away shows" are pretty popular. It always pays when bands get creative interpreting their songs this way. Weston needs a marching drum (snare) so he can participate. Get Garron on a acoustic bass & if Stacy could play violin they could do some excellent interpretations of their stuff acoustic. _________________ yup, that's my name. My point is that when some podunk film crew asks them to hoof it up a hill with their guitars and then play a song with some country music blaring beside them (if it was any louder it definitely would have spoiled the video) while the boom operator points his mic in their general direction in the hope of picking up the right sounds, they say "Sure!" and not "Ummm, well, go talk to our agent about that." _________________ http://www.twitter.com/drstrangeblog http://www.last.fm/user/getinline I can't find the time to write my mind the way I want it to read. |

I have seen that one, haha, it is fantastic!! There are two uploads on that one, I'm the top comment on one of them ('Queens of Narnia' comment). Sound wise, that Valley upload takes the cake, but that outside hilltop is still a better vibe/scene for me. I'm sure they went for it because the Dallas Observer is pretty kind to Eisley whenever they play a show. Have you seen this one of the Fleet Foxes? Kind of sets the bar for this type of thing really . . . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1tbX_NJn98 |
