Apparently Chris Martin wasn't too happy when Ian McCullough mentioned this. I checked the Q&A on Coldplay's website and Debs, the person who answers the questions, says that the tour hasn't been confirmed and it's too early to tell if it will happen.

To make this related to Eisley, maybe the Texas dates if it happens? That would add some much needed Eisley-tastic fun to an already wonderful lineup.

Coldplay's record is over halfway finished, I'm told.
Also...we've been telling you guys about this big festival that
management is whipping up; no details yet, but it's going to happen.
All I know is that I believe Eisley will likely be an opener or an one of the
stages on this tour. It should be a huge 2005 rock tour.

I really don't have an opinion on this. Guess it could be good. There will
be several tours under their belt by the time that rolls along.

of all the blasphemous things in the worl of contemporary music, this is the worst.

Echo and the Bunnymen has always been and will forever be one of my favorite acts. If they really are opening for Coldplay (which i seriously doubt) i would stop listening to all music forever.
They arent even in the same bracket, its just inconcievable.

Right...but those guys are sort of in a come back mode. Consider that the
only band below them on the main stage at V-Fest last year was Eisley.
And Eisley was an unknown that played in the morning as folks were
waking up. Echo and the Bunnyman played next. Coldplay played late
that night as the headliner.

Anyway, they were very cool. We watched from side stage and in the
front. But the drummer borrowed Weston's hi-hat's and never gave them
back. grrrr....that mean bunnyman.

yeah, i understand that its just business.
and coldplays not a bad band or anything, im just not sure that they have really done anything deserving of some real artistic merit in the big picture.

oh well

Ian McCullough threw a lit cigarette into the crowd and swore at us repeatedly when i saw him supporting Coldplay last year....no respect for fans

so I dont think much of him Rolling Eyes
