xoxo. I just checked, and it looks like it was the Pitchfork review that I was thinking of. |

I guess I just have a question. Not to offend anyone at all, as I love the band and their music, but is this something that you really want? I'm just wondering how beneficial it would be for the video to be played on TRL. On one hand, it will give the band a lot more exposure, and possibly gain a bunch more serious fans. On the other hand, it could just bring a huge influx of undesired things simply in response to the band's image. I'm not at all sure what I think about it, so I guess this post is just to get some thoughts on the matter. |

I think the record is amazing, the perfect organic progression of his music. And it is his sister Sarah on the record, she's also on the little West Coast swing he's doing this week. The record is good. Get it. Then go buy more Eisley stuff just cause. _________________ "It's the new golden fact." |

on the TRL issue... i have my fears - as evident through most of my writings. But lately, I start to see that Eisley's identity will remain solid... so it doesn't really matter which media moguls decide to air it. If the video's are cheezy, then all is lost anyway. But they won't be. My guess is - Eisley's music is going to be a bit too unconventional for these platforms anyway. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. I'm not at all afraid of Eisley themselves faltering with where they are as people and musicians--just how they'll be viewed by a certain audience. You probably run that through your mind all the time. Whatever happens, it should be interesting to see the result... I suppose all we can hope is that at the very least they'll pick up some new, real fans of their music this way, and at the very best they'll convert the ever-faltering mainstream music scene. |

I suppose it's cool for our purpose, but otherwise, it seems kind of lame for mtv for allow people to vote more than once for their video. It kind of throws the point of a countdown out the window. Basically Whoever has the most fans with the most time on their hands gets no. 1 (I'm not docking anybody here by the way, I voted several times myself) Anyways, that seems kind of pointless. But who cares! It's MTV!!!! _________________ Okay!!!!.....I mean Sooo Good!!! Xanga's Worst Enemy MySpace |

I don't think it matters what anyone else thinks of Eisley it's more of what they believe to be true in themselves in the end. As for all the clowns coming to the forums I am sure most of them will not want to make the effort to register if they have no true interest in Eisley. Even if they manage to gather together the amount of energy it would take them to register they would probably only make one or two post before they moved on. lol. All together the reason I would like to see Eisley make it on TRL is to show people what real music is suppose to be. Alot of kids out there could benefit from such a great influence as Eisley in their life. Wether it is their musical influence or their great attitudes towards life and god that do the infuencing it's all worth it! P.S. I have been writing waaay too many college papers!! Can anyone else tell by the structure in my post? ..... haha, have a good day & night peoples - Mike <3 |
