Just got home from seeing Coldplay in Boise (live in Salt Lake City) it was a surprise that Eisley was there. In fact, I had never heard of them. I was standing on the sidewalk pointing out to my kids where their Mom used to work at the State Capitol when most of the band walk by us and continued by us as we walked around the Bank of America center. I thought they were kids of somebody with the tour and when they went on stage I was surprised! They seemed a bit nervous but put on a fantastic show. I cant wait to buy their CD from somewhere. It's nice to hear an American band try something different for a change and it was FANTASTIC! Great job! kingspin |

Went to the local record store to pick up CD.... it was the only copy. I have listened to it twice now... it is really good... I would love to hear a slight tone of the Cocteau Twins production in there.. particularly from the Heaven or Las Vegas era. I think it would mix well with them. It was a good buy and I will spread the word here in Salt Lake City as much as I can. Thomas - kingspin.com |

wow, how many times can i say it... everyone is falling in love with eisley. they are amazing, and it makes me kind of sad to have to share them with everyone... ( not because I don't like sharing, but because I think smaller shows are more quaint, and soon, there will be no small Eisley shows! ) I'm so excited for you all! YEs, welcome to all the new eisley board people. Glad you found your way to the forum!!! this is great! I'm so happy for ya'll! _________________ sometimes i write in here... http://www.xanga.com/dpwrchick |

I know it can be hard to let something you love and treasure get "popular" but it's a good thing for the rest of us. As far as the Cocteau Twins thing goes... I think just a hint of it would work. I listen to a tremendous amount of music in researching for my own projects and the first thing that came to mind if I happened to produce them was to "thicken" the sound of the vocals and the layering. Live it had more of that. The EP is great but I hear sooo much more potential. I am typically not the type to get on message boards for bands but in this case I am feeling rather "hyped up" about this group. Thomas ________ www.kingspin.com |

Thanks....I appreciate the feedback. I am not on a label yet but will work on that as I polish up the songs and get the band together. One thing that gives me hope in all this a band like Eisley, which is not considered main stream in anyway can find such success. They seem level headed and well rounded and their music lends itself to intellect. It is inspiring to see the momentum around them. I work with lots of bands in my studio and listen to a lot of music in my research and there are few newer bands that really excite me. Eisley, Sondre Lerche, Ron Sexsmith and a couple of others have really changed the playing field again for music much like the bands of the early 80's like Modern English, Echo and the Bunnymen, New Order...
