Okay, I'm new so this might have been discussed or I'm just an idiot who doesn't know anything. Embarassed But..

Around here, everyone is caught up with Hip Hop and Rap. So it makes it hard for me to find the music I like. Where could I get the Eisley EP?

My first suggestion would be Amazon.com, recordcollection.com, bestbuy.com

those are starting places.

Hey, I just googled "Laughing City ep" and found page after page of
either places to buy it on line, or reviews. Here are just a few. Hopefully,
Marvelous Things would be a similar story. But, Hastings, BestBuy,
Tower, Virgin...places like that. Where are you from? And, if you're in a
rap trap, how did you discover Eisley?

I found Laughing City EP today at BooBoo's Records. But it's local only, so I guess that doesn't help you. But I was happy.

Josh.

thank youu

i'm from Long Island. Specifically, my town is the rap trap. Everyone is trying to be "ghetto" except for a select few.

hmm, how did i discover Eisley..

I think I was watching Brand New on IMX and they played Marvelous Things. I found the lyrics interesting..went online and looked up Eisley..and the rest is history

thanks again for the links

i'll bet there are closet rap lovers on this forum...too afraid to come out.
Brand New isn't so far a stretch. And most of you'd be red faced to see
Jesse Lacy's cd library... more diverse in musical taste than anyone I've
ever met. He's not some emo god for the kids. but anyway...

ok. I like emimem and outcast.

i would actually be happy to see that. really, i'd expect it! i've seen with most musicians out there that they listen to broad areas. my friend ryan who plays the guitar listens to a lot of bands in different genres and when you ask why, he'll answer that he likes the guitars in the band. he says he looks for influence from all different genres.

as for rap, it's alright... unfortunately most that you hear is repetitive and unoriginal. i've been told that just like rock, the better stuff in rap isn't what is popular.
