With July 29th fast approaching (the start of NFL training camp for some teams) I was just wondering how many people on this board play fantasy football?
I thought texans were into football (yea i saw the movie Varsity Blues), but I get the feeling most of you don't watch it.

I haven't played fantasy football in a few years, but am considering joining a friends league this next year. I like playing it because it helps me keep track of what is going on with the entire league. Normally I just follow the Cowboys and NFC, with no clue what is happening in the AFC.

God bless the Dallas Cowboys.

Soccer isn't violent? Since when? Read Paul's "ref shoots coach" thread. Confused

Hmmm...that really sounds like tabloid news to me. And even if it was true, it sounds like they had more of an "off feild" fued. Newspapers just like to multiply things. Jamie, you should know that.

No it really happend ... and no I don't know that. Tabloids and newspapers are different worlds. It's like comparing a cinema masterwork (pick one you like) to homemade porno. There are quirks in foreign press, yes, and American newspapers aren't perfect, but newspapers are far from their boogie man repuation. It's a bunch of crap and it makes me sick.

But I love you. I won't argue. Very Happy

And I don't play fantasy football. I prefer the baseball version better. Confused

We can settle this in PM or IM. Ha. The last thing I want is a thread that turns into a bashfest for the profession which I deeply believe in. And it would do that. I don't have time to fight the world ... ha.

That and we don't need another thread that veers wildly off topic with things that should be discussed in PM or IM form.

Anyway, does Yahoo have a cool free game or anything like that?

Jamie: yeah yahoo has a free fantasy football game (if that's what you were asking) It's real easy to use to.

Rana: Go watch a soccer game in Costa Rica or El Salvador, then tell me if you still think soccer isn't violent.

i play fantasy football, but only the one attached to my copy of NCAA 2004. sorry, not big on the internet fantasy football, i like my contained space and building my Dynasty. GO TERPS! haha, my Terps are invincible, unless they play my brother's Hokies, and then i get slammed by Mike Johnstone, best wide receiver ever....

FFball doesn't have to be on the internet.
Who's Mike Johnstone? I though college players weren't allowed to have their names in the game?

Same here. Is it just for guys too lazy to play real football and too socially inept to go to a football match?

it's pronounced "chasdew"

a friend of mine at work is really into it. he tried to explain it to me over lunch once, i think its more complex then programming hehe. oh and yeah, texas takes football very seriously, high school football especially. Some of the schools around here like Plano, Lewisville, Grand Prairie, and SouthLake Carol have a history of producing top college picks. I think only Florida or Southern California can match Texas in high school football.

edit: you should see some of the high school football stadiums around here. they are HUGE

Mike Johnstone is my brother. He makes a Mike Johnstone on every Madden and NCAA football game since like 2001...
