Being my favourite radiohead album, I'd be lying if I said I prefered the Amnesiac version. So I won't.

It's just.. I dunno... it fits in better with the album as a whole... I know that's a whole other topic of discussion right there, but..
hm. that doesnt make it the better song, just the better album.

There's just something better about it Razz

Kid A - I like the way it reaches its emotional intensity. I find it much harsher than the Amnesiac version. It doesn't get on my nerves though.

i think the kid a version is better. just more creative. but they both fit into their albums perfectly, both versions are great.

okay it suprises me that i'm the first to say this but...

MORNING BELL AMNESIAC is on AMNESIAC and both are CRAP

MORNING BELL is on KID A and both are astounding.

p.s. KID A is the best album ever. AMNESIAC is the toxic by-product caused by making the greatest album ever. if AMNESIAC was drowning with the titanic i would pull out pyramid song and liagh and let the rest of that mocha-brownie burn... i mean drown. whichever.

Kid A
The 9/8 time is the best thing ever and also the fact that the vocal track that Thom sings is exactly the same but the amnesiac version is in 4/4
brilliant. A++

You'd also pull out You and Whose Army if you knew what was good for you.

Damn right. Mad
And I always saw Morning Bell as a natural continuation to Ideoteque's nucleur fall-out/ apocolyptic themes, but on a more personal level. Obviously "Cut the kids in half" can have a double meaning - Share the kids between us or, err "cut the kids in half" which is fairly self-explanatory. Saying that, Radiohead do like to change what their songs are about - I think they really want the listener to work it out themselves.
What did this article say?
