Cameron - 27 - Dallas

Relatively new to Eisley fan-dom to be sure. I just started picking up on the buzz on them around Dallas from friends, and listening to the Adventure Club on the Edge. That is all....

Hi, my name is Lauren and I am currently being a bum at home, which is in New Orleans, Louisiana. I heard of Eisley through some friends who heard of them through a local band (As Cities Burn). I heard of Eisley about...hmm...5 hours ago and I downloaded the CD and havent left my computer since. Is it possible to become obsessed with a band in 5 hours? Oh yes it is...becuase i just did. Very Happy ! But too bad Eisley isnt coming to La. Crying or Very sad Well lets see...some more info about me...even though its not much: Im 15 (yep...a youngin). Hmm...alright since I cant think of anything else to put, i guess ill leave it at that.

Oooh, a Toadies/Eisley show -- now that would rock.

Yeah, but it'll never happen.

A. The Toadies are mostly broken up.
B. Mark Rez(drummer) had this to say about Eisley "Haven't ever seen 'em live, but heard the latest EP at a listening station. It's a turd. A smelly, steaming hunk of poop. Avoid at all costs."
Then again, you'd think that he's way to good of a musician with way too good tastes in music to make such a ludicrous statement. Maybe he was wacky on the junk at the time.

Yeah, the toadies are broken up, except for when todd decides to have another baby. Then im sure there will be more "reunion" shows. Might be a cd of unreleased stuff coming out sometime, but who knows. The Rez is a really cool guy, but he can be a dick like that sometimes. Nothing too suprising out of his mouth.
The burden brothers are still writing and recording and playing some shows. They left last beat records and dont have another label yet. The first ep was pretty good, but they have gone downhill since then in my opinion. I was really into them at first, but now i dont even go to their shows in the dallas area unless im just bored. Pretty sad. I cant see a toadies/eisley show either.

Oh yeah, im stephen, 26 years old, and im all over texas depending on the day of the week.

Hi, I've never posted before so, I guess that makes me new. I"m Wes, I'm from Gilmer, TX which is about 30 minutes from Tyler. I've been watching Eisley since they were the Towheads and playing at Java Jireh. I was also in a band with Seth Muse, Taylor's brother, before he moved to Colorado. I've always been a fan. I'm glad to see that Eisley is getting all this attention. It makes me truly happy. The show at Brewtones was completely amazing. Oh yeah, and if, anyone cares, my xanga site is www.xanga.com/JacksLackofSurprise.

hmmm, i have posted several times in the past few days but I never introduced myself

I am keith. My user name is Keith. The reason my user name is Keith is because I am keith, just to clear up any confusion. i am 19. I live in Austin and go to the University of Texas at Austin. I am majoring in English and Radio/Tv/Film, film is my emphasis (I will get my bachelor of arts and bachelor of science in 2 years and then have no idea what to do with them)........Um, i play bass and sing backup vocals in a band here in Austin........we just started off.......right now we are kind of a nirvana/weezer/pixies ripoff band......It is fun.....Today I wrote and recorded quite possibly the worst song of all time.......I have what some people have called "the dryest humor of all time" and I get "I can't tell if you are joking or not" quite a lot.......That and "please stop looking at me like that".....Um. yes.....Oh i like jeopardy and am very inconsistent when it comes to online capitalization and punctuation

I will proudly state that yes, I am in fact, a newbie. I must say that is is rather intimidating writing this because, well, I feel as if I'm infultrating a high society club or something, but I suppose we all have to start out sometime.... Anyway my name is Eileen, which seems rather irrelevant considering that a name does little to describe a person and yet it's usually the first thing I mutter when first introducing myself. Strange. I'm from a college town in Oregon and heard eisley play with coldplay when they came to this beautiful state. What can i say that's not generic? I'm not sure. Let's see, I was instantly hooked to eisley because their music clicked. I'm a dreamer and am contantly thinking, and going on grand adventures in my head (which might make me crazy, i don't know) and eisley's music seems to bottle all that into a melody. Perfect. I also got this vibe from them while they nervously preformed on stage, that there is a true humanity about them, that is untouchable, no matter where their music career takes them. I don't know them, I've never talked to them, but the impression just sunk in, which is something notable. Anyway, I'll be moving to Santa fe, new meixco in august for college (a tiny great books school, where all you do is read the greatest minds in western civilization, discuss, debate, and write) and so hopefully being closer to texas will give me the oppurtunity to see them live. I'll be going now considering that this is already something like 500 words more than I originally expected to write, typical for me. Have a nice day everyone.

well...ummm...hi, my name is steve. and i've been a fan of eisley for about 6 months now...

anyone else get the feeling that this plays out like an AA meeting. not that i've been to one or anything...

i forget what i'm supposed to write here. something about myself i guess. well. my favorite color's blue. i'm an aquarius, so i'm told. i like long walks on the beach, people who quote jack handey, and monkey's. i hate cheese, onions, and turtles. that was actually a lie. i like cheese, but the others still stand.

yep.

Hello, my name is Jeremy and I'm a recovering alcoholic...ummm.. not really...but...Actually I'm 17 and a half years of age and a resident of a small town about 45 minutes outside Cincinnati, Ohio. I first heard of Eisley when they opened for one of my favorite bands Coldplay in Cleveland. I've been kind of hooked ever since. It's a nice departure from the music that I've been addicted to over the last four or five years: Metallica, Megadeth, Pearl Jam etc. etc. But you can only listen to every Metallica album so many times before you feel the need to venture off into foreign territory. Thus my newfound interest in more mellow forms of music such as: Coldplay, Radiohead, Dashboard Confessional, and now Eisley came to fruition. I actually saw the band walking out of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as I was trying to find a parking spot to go in to kill some time. I had no idea who they were then , only that I remarked to my friend that there seemed to be a group of three really beautiful girls with a really tall girl (Weston) roaming the streets of Cleveland. It was only later when Eisley took the stage that my friend exclaimed, "Dude, it's the tall chick...and she's playing drums." Then I realized that my initial observations were very off. Anyhoo, sorry Weston. To round things off, I'm really looking forward to the full length release, I'm sure it will be great, no pressure or anything.

I'm Patrick. I'm new.. kinda.. I don't post much but I've been lurking for a long time. Lurking.. that sounds kinda creepy. Oh well.

Yes, my actual name is not Jack, nor is it Flint, nor do I bear any resemblance to or share any remarkable characteristics with Iron. Confused
