Over the mountain possibly ..... oh yea first time posting here kick ass band checked you guys out at irving it rocked "Over the Mountains" won't be on the full-length album. "Telescope Eyes" is a possibility for their first "hit single," according to Boyd's latest reports. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

yea i figure telescope eyes would be a good radio tune but i have to give it to the laughing city truly a genius piece of musical arrangement ,that chorus is the shiznak "lets not be sorrrre" its got that same feeling that "no surprises" has off of ok computer. anyways i should have told them that was my fav tune instead of over the mountains. well peace |

I think it's obvious that Telescope Eyes will be the first and most promoted single off of the album. After all, it doesn't seem like the band even wanted the song on the CD. I think they added it when the record company said something like "Not putting Telescope Eyes on the CD might be shooting yourself in the foot." I'm not even a big fan of Telescope Eyes but I must admit the from the first time I heard it I thought it sounded like radio quality music. Marvelous Things was released as a "single" off the EP but I can also see the new version being released as a single. It's got a radio friendly chorus. I don't think any of the other released recordings (that will also be on the new album) are fit for radio play. "I Wasn't Prepared" and "Memories" are certainly beautiful tracks but I can't see radio picking them up. Of what I've heard of the new material I think "My Lovely" is the second most radio-friendly track followed by "Golly Sandra" |

teléskøp eyes...and with the way its sounding now. bring it on. to guess, i'd say that my lovely will be a smaller single, and marvy things will be like...the second "big" one. then again i dont know whats going to be on the wreckord. _________________ knives don't have your back. |

i would definately choose marvelous things. and not because it my favorite song. but because i guarentee people will remember it. which is good. when i first head it i couldnt get it out of my head. and when i saw eisley at the metro a few days ago these ladies behind me were talkinga bout the band..they didnt like eisley (well, they finally gave in to the glory at the end of their set) but i overheard one of them saying she remembered one eisley song that went 'oh ohhhhh ' blah blah .. she sang the part in marvelous things where its all pretty and Stacy does that awesome thing with her voice. so even if you dont like it you remmember it. plus its an incredible song that really has some amazing potential to be a hit. just my thoughts. _________________ Julie Do you believe in something beautiful? I love Sun Feet. But I think Marvelous Things or maybe the revamped Telescope Eyes should be the first one. Then I think My Lovely or I wasn't Prepared could be the second. And the third I would hope would be something like Plenty of Paper or The Espcaping Song ... or Golly Sandra. I have a feeling they'll get more freedom if they bust loose a hit or two. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |
