This band was brought to my attention when I was talking to a colleague about my 6 year old son whose name is Eisley. They asked me if I had ever heard of the band. No, I had not. I was informed it was a group of punk rock girls. LOL - now that I have had the opportunity to see a video and listen to their music, I would not consider them "punk." They have a great sound and I also took note that the band is not all girls. I am now going to purchase a CD. Not to mention, I know the merchandise will also be a big hit with my son since it is hard to find anything with his name on it. Now when people ask me about my sons name I will be sure to mention the band as well. Goes to show you the strange ways people find out about new music. Eisley sounds great! Hope to see you on the late night venues some time soon! |

Welcome to the forum! There's been quite a few kids sharing your son's name lately, and several were inspired by the band. What a cool coincidence that you found about them that way. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

wow you didn't know about the band and you named your kid Eisley? that's crazy. Well, for boardies like us it is. i like how people call Eisley punk rock and stuff, i remember these two girls talking about them before the DC show and they said, and i quote "they're like the Donnas, but more hardcore" the look on Boyd's face and the band's reaction when we told em...priceless.. Welcome to the board new Eisley fanatic, you are cool, it is decididly so... _________________ welcome to the no pants club boone |

Welcome! Heh ... not punk, for sure. However, they definitely embody the DIY independent spirit. They're punk in that respect. Welcome. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

I guess punk has become a generic term for all new rock. _________________ Power is only pain It’s probably better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside the tent pissing in. So I take it you're a Star Wars fan, or how did you come about naming your son that? That's really awesome, by the way. Instead of people saying you stole the name from the band, you can accuse the band of stealing it from your son.
