I'm from Houston, but I am long past my "inundate radio stations with requests" phase. If we gather a lot of folks and "inundate" them all at one time, that may bring more favorable results. I'd be somewhat game for that. But lately, it seems requests don't play as much of a role in what gets added to playlists anymore. _________________ https://soundcloud.com/kiteswithoutstrings/tracks |

i'm in cypress, next to houston. duh. Lisa was playing her "retro lunchbox" show on the BUZZ and was asking for people's favorite old music requests. So I quickly faxed her a hand written (in black sharpy) request for this new band called Eisley. And I listed some awesome facts about the band. She didnt play them that day. _________________ "Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed." prov 16:3 |

i say we just all walk into brazil's (or some other trendy coffee shop) blasting eisley on a boombox. then we would be worshiped like gods for casting a brilliant light on everyone else's dull lives. that, or we would be stoned to death. but i like the first choice better. |

Hi, this is the band Eisley and we're from Houston too. But bands don't usually call the DJ's and say, "Please play my music". Oh, well. I'm being stupid, but the eisley's were all born'd in Houston and we moved to Tyler in 90 when Stacy was about....um, I don't remember, I've slept since then. (little) Maybe they'd have a sense of..our own. but I doubt it. dmont01 wrote: what about the texas buzz on sunday nights? yeah, i was thinking along the lines of a group of us doing this. I recently emailed about getting Eisley on the Texas Buzz. I think everybody should do it... whether you're from Houston or not. Here's the form for Texas Buzz requests (to Pam Kelly). http://www.thebuzz.com/email-pamkelly.html For those unfamiliar with the Texas Buzz, here's the blub from 94.5, The Buzz's web site: "Join Pam Kelly Sundays 10 p.m.-midnight for music from around the Lone Star State ... new releases, B-sides, rarities and interviews ... plus the latest on Houston's music scene. E-mail Pam to make a request..." _________________ "If you're a ninja, every day is like friday." -Jamie M. |
