A friend of mine who was in England when Eisley was there told me this when he returned and I was wondering if it was true.
Anybody know? I don't want to start any rumors flying.

"no, you were right man. they do say "mate" in england. and they say "cheers" for "thanks." strange, huh?
anyway, i didn't make the show. wish i had though. i heard cold play is breaking up... "

yeah i think we do say mate. and cheers, yeah for some reason we say that too.

coldplay arent breaking up but are taking sometime out, Chris Martin told nme that they need to "reinvent the wheel" and dont want to release another record of similar music to what they've done, or something like that.

so i think this must mean they are taking a new direction. maybe someone from eisley knows, or boyd?

i dont know.

That's funny. Just talked to all those guys in London for a long time...they're totally together and we talked about their new record...songs that will be on it...that kind of normal conversation.

They're very cohesive...very together. They hang out... laugh, are nice to each other. They're all excited about recording again. What a funny rumor, but it's one that we heard early on as well...and Dave got to laugh at us when we told him.

Rumor dispelled.

New rumor... Coldplay's sound engineer/mixer/front of house/boy wonder, Dan, might be working on an Eisley EP here in Texas very soon after his interest peaked and mangagement thinks it's a good idea. That might be fun. Don't hold me to it... it's only a rumor, even though I just started it. bd

lol, with my lack of sleep, stress, and three shots of espresso I'm finding that incredibly amusing.

any tentative date for a new EP, or are y'all waiting to confirm one rumor before starting another?

Stephen, I was just correcting the bogus info that Dan heard about them breaking up....not your info about what Chris told NME. It sounds reasonable. The record is scheduled and they start working in a few weeks. I'm sure they'll look for new inventions along the way. My guess is - they just aren't doing anymore shows or touring for a while. Normal cycles, however, right?

Eisley ep - I got in trouble last time I tried to pin point it, but...managment is saying Fall. Like, on the heels of the Fall tour in the US. Oh, wait, in the UK? uhh...I don't know but I'm guessing these will be released in tandem...at the same time - plus or minus a few weeks or a month or whatever. Will keep everyone informed, of course.

Oh, and in case you haven't heard...Johnny Greenwood has apparently married a 318lb venutian/baboon mutant - the result of an experiment in cloning (Star Aliance)...and was sighted in a chinese junk off the coast of Whales with his new furry, antenae laden lover...sipping Mudglump beer and snorting 1000 year old eggs through a bong...as a part of a strange venutian, interplanetary custom...sources say. When asked about the affair, Johnny just replied, "well, I won't say it's a rumor, but I will say you're talking to the wrong band member". Now back to you Dave in Washington.

Hey, watch who you're calling a wildebeest.

I am mighty offended.
