Bloody guitar store. All they have left is a hideous solid rosewood Tele for $900. I'll just have to hold out for a blue one, 'cause all the most awesome people have blue Telecasters. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

i was staying at my friends dorm at nyu for spring break this year, and he had to do research for one of his classes one day so i stayed in and ended up watching tv all day. the marvelous things video played several times that day on MTVU, and by the second time i saw it i was already so captivated that i found myself waiting for the next time it would air, not even changing the channel during commercials. it was then that i realised that i had to check this band out so i went across the street to the virgin record store and picked up marvelous things that same day (the first day i ever heard eisley!) . By the time memories had finished playing, i realised that it was all over and that this band was going to be the next big thing in my life. p.s. since i could not stop listening to the same four songs over and over, i went out the next day as soon as i woke up and bought laughing city. i remember those times so well, and they were such good timeS! Reminiscing about all this has gotten me really excited about Febuary 8. Anyone else feel the same? _________________ "You're my favorite person." - David Carradine, Kill Bill vol. 2 |

Eisley came to me in a vision as I stood at the top of Mount Fuji overlooking Yamanashi and Shizuoka. Or did I see them with Coldplay at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago? I can never remember. _________________ "Anthony! C-Caw!" Does it really matter whether I put the toilet seat down or not? |

i saw them open for coldplay june 13, 2003. but the weird thing is, ime and my former friend Jeremy saw them as we were leaving the rock and roll hall of fame. eisley was going in the hall, and i pointed out they were hot, and jeremy said weston was a girl... needless to say, we saw them in concert that night, and were privy to such a good band. _________________ http://www.audioscrobbler.com/user/Gameboybob/ http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=gameboybob http://www.myspace.com/thegameboy |

Gather around children, it's BK story time. I used to be a commercial music major. While waiting for a class to start one evening I saw a small blonde head skurry across the door window and up the hall leading to the recording studio. Scared that some kid was loose and about to be interupting a recording session I followed after the little (then 12 or 13) girl. There I saw Boyd standing next to my instructor and good friend and decided at that time she must be the daughter of someone recording. I stopped to listen in on the music and watch Casey (my instructor) work when I started falling in love with the guitar work. A few days later we had the Music Industry Conference where I happened to be working as a tech guy setting up equipment and getting to stay for free. The band on show that year was called Mos Eisley, I'll never forget sitting there and realizing that the little blonde girl that I thought shouldn't be in the studio was on stage with a wonderful band playing some awesome music. I checked the site frequently and visited the original boards a few times, but I eventually got caught up with getting certified as an audio engineer and "forgot" about them for awhile. One day I was bored at home and decided to look them up again, that's when I found out about: the name change, touring with Coldplay, and being signed on to WB. I knew they would make it, just wish I could have been there along the way. _________________
