And also, what is the crowd response? I'm seeing them February 5th and I have this feeling that no one where I live really knows about them. I could be wrong though, I'm not sure. _________________ we're not sleeping and i'm not breathing |

I think it depends quite a lot on where they are, as well as (in many cases) who they're opening for. Since they'll be headlining on the 5th, the crowd might be smaller than usual, but probably more open and enthusiastic. However, I saw them open for Snow Patrol in Lawrence, KS, and the crowd there was totally into it. It varies by degrees. I'm sure anyone paying to see them in a headlining spot will be appropriately enthusiastic. Enjoy the show, you lucky duck! They'll be about 1,000 miles out of my range on that tour... _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

there was a thread with this exact same question some time ago... wonder if we could dredge it up. Informative as i remember. Eisley is young, yes...with a relatively small fan base; Eisley is shoe gazer-ish, Eisley sounds great live, Eisley is very honest, un-assuming, precocious; Eisley seems to connect with fans on some ethereal, emotional level through their songs...their sounds...their harmonies... it's difficult to describe; Eisley is very real; Eisley is tangible; Eisley is beautiful - and occasionally on the outside; I think their songs are their show... The eloquent writer for Nylon put it this way: This is quintessential Eisley: relentlessly positive, but with an undertow of sadness. Their music sounds like something hobbits might make on a rainy day in the Shire, or harmonies ABBA might sing on Halloween. It's beautiful, and it's otherworldly. New crowds just stare... they listen...and respond. Dallas/Houston/Austin crowds, on the other hand, are very interactive. (loud) On this tour, I wouldn't expect big crowds...or audacious responses. Anyway, I'd rather err on that side. It's a slow build, but with no record out, it feels perfect. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead.
