My name is Butta. I'm 26, and saw Eisley for the 1st time @ Cornerstone Fest 2002. (A pal I'd made at the festival came up to me one day + said, "Butta, did you catch the band Moss Eisley the other day?!" I told her I hadn't and she told me they'd be playing a 2ND time. Her enthusiasm made me check 'em out... and I've caught 'em every time they pulled through Chicago since.) I've been visiting this here forum since the Coldplay tour, but, for some reason, just decided to register. Happy weekend to all you other Eisley fans out there.. _________________ http://unclebutta.tripod.com my concert bootlegs collection. |

My name is Maura. I live in the northeast. I love to write and play music. I first heard about Eisley on TV a couple years ago, saw some bit about them in a magazine too. At first I didn't know what to make of them, their style is sooooooo left of center, but now I really love their music a lot. The music world really needs some new faces, and Eisley definitely is gonna lead the way. _________________ Don't you let them tell you you're an ugly child. Uh, hello there. I'm Anthony.. I would love to say that I've been an Ei.... wait hold on. See, I've had Fuse on TV 24/7 since I saw about 5 seconds of the commercial on yesterday, and so I just turned my head and saw it was back on, so I had to un mute the TV and watch it. Hm someone referred to them as 'otherwordly'. Anyways, seeing them on Fuse makes my day. Back to where I was before the commercial so appropriately interrupted me... I would love to say that I've been an Eisley fan for years, but I haven't. It wasn't until late 2003 that I'd even heard of them, partly because I live in a town in Mississippi where everyone either listens to country or rap, no mediums. No one even knows who bands like The Used are here, and that's scary. So you see my good music dilemma? Anyways, I -being a huge Brand New fan- heard about them from another Brand New fan. She was telling me something or another and Eisley popped up in the conversation. After that I decided I'd listen to a few songs, so I did, and I fell in love. Now my love for Eisley has gotten so ... extreme that I have my Eminem and Gretchen Wilson loving friends knowing lyrics to Tree Tops and knowing the names of the kids themselves. Eisley is one of the only things that keeps me going and keeps me up. Eisley makes me happy when nothing else can, and I love that. Eisley just takes me away to another place, and I'll always love and respect them for making music that does that. It's funny that I called my dad yesterday and told him that Eisley's new video was online, and he told me he already watched it. He's become such a big fan and I really love that. That's probably the best thing about Eisley; they trigger all audiences. My mom and dad alike both like Eisley (my dad, alot), and I've even gotten my sister to become quite fond of them. Uh, but my other sister, yeah the 20 year old sibling that won't move out of the house that steals your clothes (even though your a guy) and claims that every kind of music you listen to is stupid and dorky, still needs to be coaxed a bit, but I'm sure one day I can convince her that Eisley is the best thing ever to bless this planet. I'll quit rambling now. I've been a daily visitor to Laughing City for some while now but I just now decided I'd actually join. You seem like nice respectful and caring people and I believe I'll really enjoy being a member. Bonsoir, Anthony. Oh yeah, I'm fifteen by the way. |

and finally officially register before the album came out. I'm 23 from a Houston suburb and I first saw Eisley in Dec. 2003 soon after I first heard of them. I enjoyed their show last week at meridian and I hope their album will be a great success for them. |

The first time I saw Eisley was the video for "Marvelous Things" on TVU about a year ago. They are one of the few bands whose sound instantly won my approval. I have not seen them in concert yet but I plan to check them out when they come to Dallas in May. I would love to meet them. _________________ Some people say that God is a lie for stupid people that don't have a mind of their own, but science can not fill a God-shaped hole. |

I'm almost 25. But yeah, there are some young 'uns up there. Ha. It's cool. We're an ageless lot here. It's quite awesome. Make yourself at home. Oh yeah, I just got Late Tuesday's "Remember we Forget." I like it so far.
