JD LDS also use the Bible as part of their standard scriptures. And it would be very polite if you would continue to hold your tongue on the topic, because debates of this kind could get to be very offensive. Believe me I have had them before... |

bgburroughs wrote: Yeah, we could go in circles and circles. Yeppp. This is true. Goodness knows I've done it. I have been in heated discussions where no specific end was in mind for either side. Neither side had the intent of surrendering their views or coming to any agreement and all it became was just cutting and cutting and cutting the other down. And then it gets to be so negative and unproductive. So I think we've done a mighty fine job in this discussion. |

I don't remember typing all that in there. I must be more tired than I thought. Amyways, before I drag my sorry bones off to bed, I'd like to begin by asking for suggestions for a name for an Eisley ice cream. ok what I don't understand is why are you whining about not being able to go? When in reality you are able to go. just make a decision, I think people should make up their own minds about these types of things. It's up to you, It always has been up to you. I like what Paul the apostle says about it, basically he says don't make you brother or sister stumble, if someone has a problem with eating meat, then that's up to them. I'm not a mormon, In fact I think it is ridiculous. Just study the history of it and you'll see. but I'm not saying mormons are ridiculous. I just think God gave you this life, and If you believe that Jesus died for you, then you are not obligated by the law of the flipping old testament. _________________ Shane Foley www.xanga.com/Shane_yourspacecowboy |

You should ask an LDS person the questions you have. You kind of have to read it from a spiritual standpoint, other than a historical or academic standpoint. Skabro  I've never thought about it from that viewpoint, but doesn't that give almost any text spiritual credibility? JD _________________ "Well, hopefully that's our job, to strap rockets onto everything." - Adam Savage, Mythbusters |
