Hey, I was going to look on the board to see if you guys saw the piece on MTV tonite, apparently it has aired before. I was watching MTV before the Red Sox and Yankees game tonite, and I saw where it said "THIS TEXAS BAND IS A MIX OF STAR WARS AND COLDPLAY " and...something else I cant remember. But it said the name Eisley so I was shocked and watched it. It talked about how Chris Martin loves them and even sings their songs during his soundcheck. Cool stuff. I'm sure it will air again. Catch you all later! -Aaron |

-Aaron Yeah, that's the same program that inspired the creation of this thread. It's been showing on MTV2... and will show again a few more times I think. I watched it late last night on MTV2. _________________ "If you're a ninja, every day is like friday." -Jamie M. |

How do they know Chris sang their tunes during sound check? They weren't there. They must have read it on this forum...I have mentioned it a few times...or in the journaling. woah...mtv is reading our words. hi ryan, if you're reading this. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. It was a good movie, and Johnny Depp is a good looking guy, but 10 times?? That's a whole lot of POTC. I think Keira Knightly is gorgeous but I couldn't sit through the movie again. So, I stayed up until 5:30 a.m. ... and finally saw and recoreded the You Hear it First thing. Very nice, but far too short for me. Tree Tops was cut awkwardly at the end, but otherwise, I think they portrayed things decnetly. No one seemed dumb or goofy, either. Uhm .. I'm tired, finally. If I can figure out a way to get this to y'all, I'll try it. Night. I mean morning ... _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

It was on MTV. I don't get MTV2 around here (or at the family's home in Longview), either. According to a post earlier by Swiss Army Romance (where I saw the time for the one this morning), the next chance for y'all to catch it on MTV is 20th at 1 a.m. Central. Eisley is near the end of the show, and are hardly mentioned except just a little before the segment. I'll post before too long if I can get it online. -Jamie _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

LINK below This is sooo ghetto: I decided I could videotape my TV with my digital camcorder, and then export it to iMovie, then to Quicktime ... and it worked, pretty much. It's about that quality, but here it is: http://www.endecision.com/blogpics/eisleyonmtv.mov It's about a 10 MB file, so I think I have enough bandwidth if dozens upon dozens of people don't download it. It's low quality, and I neglected to dust my screen, where my friend Melly wrote her name in the thin layer of dust on it, it turns out. That's why there's a dark spot mostly on Chauntelle's face. (Sorry.) I would try to make a new one, but my camera is too testy and I'm lucky I got this today. Anyway, enjoy, just not too many of you. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

What a fun segment. Thanks, Jamie, for putting that up! I'm confused, though--towards the end of the story, there's a brief shot of Chris Martin as they talk about Coldplay, and it looks like it's from a video, but I can't figure out which one. Anyone else know? EDIT: Nevermind. It's The Scientist. Fiddlesticks; I thought it was something cool and exclusive that I'd never seen before. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

Thanks theantirider. That's amazing. So cool that you videotaped your TV at 5:30am. You're hard core. We discovered this (saturday) morning, called everyone around the Apple g-4, turned up the harmon/kardon Apple speakers and gazed curiously. I thought it was very decent and so did everyone. I mean, there's stuff...not sure why they used the Star Wars thing....but that's ok. Not sure why they picked the songs they did....but that's ok too. I was happy they used so much of the 1 hr. video footage I supplied them from the band side...stuff from home, Coldplay shows, etc. Surprised they had a clip from "Golly Sandra", an unfinished song...but, that's ok. The piece was exciting... lots of energy... fairly cool, I'd say. Thanks MTV. It seems really crazy for Eisley to be on air...on TV. hmm... I wonder what it all means; what is happening. bizzaro-land. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead.
