ok, i'm really torn between the two versions of eisley's "memories". i like different parts of both versions, specifically the bridge in the new version, but the verses and pre-chorus' in the old one, imho, are superior. i guess i kind of lean towards to the new version because of weston's drums in the bridge, but the organ in the first verse of the old version is what really set the mood for the whole song. why was that taken out? |

I like the organ, but the new version is superior. That said, at least we can still listen to both versions. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

I don't know how to vote ... I agree. I love the drumming on 'Room Noises' and it really gives a great feel to the album(Especially the beginning intro of 'Memories'). But I like the vocals on the old version better. _________________ If the end of the world has proper noodles I'll probably be okay with it. |

The newer version does take the piano at the beginning down an octave which I think makes it sound more adult, and I think it is better without the organ. However, I liked the slower, more deliberate pace of the original, and I think I like Chauntelle's guitar on the first one better, without the effect. I guess I'm torn also.
