hi didnt send an im as i'm not sure you login in here, or even if you read the forum, well the big man can tell you, that'll be Boyd. anyway, point? i discovered your xanga thing earlier and you were talking about a band called Straw, well yes they are no more, however Andy (drummer) and Dan (bassist) now play for a band called The Jeevas, with Crispian Mills (ex-Kula shaker dude). Well just thought i'd let you know, you should check them out, albums called 1-2-3-4 and latest is Cowboys and Indians. incidently i saw their gig yesterday evening, they are wicked live. well, anyway tally ho. _________________ "A mathematician is a blind man in a dark room looking for a black cat which isn't there." - Charles Darwin (legend) |

I don't think it could be the same band... Straw broke up. The lead singer's wife died...(there's this beautiful, sad, tear-jerking song about her on the record that was never released) and things started going down hill...and the other band members left him and resigned with the same label and rumor has it that he flips burgers at some greasy spoon restaurant. This straw record is really good. But nobody has it. Well, we do...and Kevin Thornton does. Who was this message for Juan? I'm confused. boyd _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. They are Andy Nixon and Dan McKenna, check if these guys were in the Straw band you know of. _________________ "A mathematician is a blind man in a dark room looking for a black cat which isn't there." - Charles Darwin (legend) |

Boyd if you mean did they release sailing off the ....... then yes i do beleive so. anyway, i'll be honest i havent heard anything by Straw, not knowingly anyway. like i say i was just making a point that some of the straw ppl (not literally) are still making music, and i saw them last week, and enjoyed it very much. anyway all good n all that. have fun on this tour thing, whenever it starts, i was beleiving that Eisley were playing in New York in December, shame i was wrong as i may be going there then. nevermind. laters _________________ "A mathematician is a blind man in a dark room looking for a black cat which isn't there." - Charles Darwin (legend) |

We were told the lead singer quit. He's the band. So... what up? Does he flip burgers in some restaurant or not? rumors. K-THOR told us this scoop. But the record...it never got released. it's good. But that song about his wife dying...NO. no... i don't like to hear it. It's too sad. scarey, bad sad. painful sad. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead.
