now, i know they're out on tour right now, but i was hoping kim or someone could answer this. it's obvious that eisley isn't at the level of fame of mtv stars, yet, but i would certainly call them famous. they have so many people across the country, some scattered around the world, that love them and their music. people they've never met, or never got to know. i'm certain there's a greater sense of this when they're home in texas, because of their massive fan base. do they get weirded out at all by fans? what do they think of all these people, on the forum especially, who know them, but whom they don't know at all? i know this question is answered a lot, and they say something like "oh, well we don't really notice it." and act all humble. but i want to know if there are any funny "psycho fan" stories yet. i mean, they must have been scared of andrew and ryan at first what does Boyd think of HIS fame? |

From what I've gathered most people they see out on the streets or in the malls still don't even know who they are. So their everyday lives aren't all that different, except that they spend too much time in L.A. and not enough time in Texas (o.k. that was me editorializing Of course, at shows it is a different story, but it seems Kim has done a superlative job of raising them, so they have managed to stay humble about it. Also, it has been fairly hard won fame and has not come all that quickly, which is evidenced by the fact that Christie and Kim were recently performing janitorial duties outside the home. I'm sure the kids all appreciate that very much. I remember seeing then in Austin late in January. The performance was excellent, but they were obviously slightly freaked out by all the attention they were getting in the packed venue. Maybe not freaked, but I can't think of a better word at the moment. Let's just say Chauntelle was doing a lot of giggling between songs. Edit: I forgot to say that they seem to handle it better when they are in situations that require it, like at concerts. If you are with them outside of a venue they expect to be treated like humans and get weirded out when you play their music or talk to them like they are celebs. That's what i've gathered. From what I've read and from the little experiences I've had with them, they still don't recognize that they have any fame. And they're still completely humble and modest towards anyone who showers them with attention for their music. I think they love meeting their fans. Of course I'm sure you knew that much. I guess only the band can answer you truthfully. PS. I think Boyd loves his notoriety. |

I think they're way too level-headed to get caught up with it, and if anything they'd be slightly embarrassed by it. Of course, I might be wrong, and in a few years they'll all be hardcore heroin addicts, and Sherri and Stacy will start acting like Noel and Liam Gallagher, and Weston will quit the band to go farm hay in Georgia. But the band will keep making records even though they told fans years before that they'd stop if anyone quit, and Sherri will be playing drums in the studio, with Ringo Starr's kid (what's his name again?) substituting live. EDIT: Admiral79 stole my glowing Bono image. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

BNROCKS asked: Quote: do they get weirded out at all by fans? what do they think of all these people, on the forum especially, who know them, but whom they don't know at all?
what does Boyd think of HIS fame? Honestly, they would all say, "what fame?" But to answer your questions above, I can tell you it would be the same for any of you. It's surprising when we do something that lots of people seem to appreciate, and you are thankful for that. Weirded out? Sometimes....when they encounter a strange situation, but not weirded out by lots of fans wanting to talk to them. I think they do feel overwhelmed at times, especially if their schedule is crueling and they don't have the necessary time it takes to meet people. As for the forum situation, I think the only time that things bother them from the forum, is when they read critical comments on things that they have poured their heart out on to produce, and someone makes comments that are heartless. But, that is part of it all too. Now, for Boyd's fame? I don't know what to say. Everybody loves Boyd. People ask for his autograph all the time. He gets embarrassed. That's all I can think of. |

Come back to Montreal no offense to kim, but do you really want her autograph? i mean, it'd be neat, if she signed a piece of merch (not that she does that anymore _________________ welcome to the no pants club boone |
