I've never been there, is it a good joint? Is it smaller than the Cotton Club? I just checked their website, probably would be a good fit since other people like Iron and Wine, Rilo Kiley, and the Decemberists are playing there. Any other possible places in Atlanta that Eisley might play? |

I've never been to the Cotton Club (haha) so i wouldn't know either. It is a really nice venue, it looks as though it was an old theatre for plays or something, but anyways...it has a high ceiling with chairs in the middle and a nice-sized floor space to get close to the stage and on the sides are sitting areas with tables and the unloading dock is about 5 feet from the stage. Admiral, you should mention the Variety to boyd, eh? I know The Shins and The Decemberists are both playing at the Variety this month, knowing that Eisley is a fan of both bands, they might put the venue into consideration. Not the best pic i could find...

Well, I'm sure they already have a place booked if they are indeed going to Atlanta. Variety sounds like a good choice. Cotton Club might be a little big considering I've seen bigger bands than Eisley play there. Perhaps they'll come early in the tour and be part of the Music Midtown festival. Hopefully not though. |

Haha, yeah i would not want them to play Music Midtown, that just wouldn't work for me. I think a more smaller, intimate set would do just fine. Instead of thousands of sweaty, smelly people pushing and shoving to hurry to the next stage to catch their favorite band. |

They could also do the Robert Ferst Center at Georgia Tech, but I doubt this will happen. It's a decently sized venue (with seats) and the major plus for me is that tech students get a discount I saw the Flecktones there. On the other hand, I really don't think Cotton Club is too big for Eisley...besides, who knows how many new fans they'll get from doing the tour with NFG? These venues may prove to be too small |

I guess that's why I haven't seen any summer listings for the place. Why did they close it? Is it closed for good? Doesn't make much sense since they are still using the Tabernacle. |

HAHAHAHAHA SWAYZES!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH MY!!!!!!! Nothing screams Eisley like a poorly run venue located in a run down strip mall. The only thing I like about it is that it only fits like 75 people. I saw Cartel play their very first show there with like 15-20 other kids. Good timessssss...... They might as well play at the Somber Reptile....... _________________ Not all those who wonder are lost. |
