I gotta say...

The remix of Lost at Sea was not "pants". If anything, I liked it better than the original. It was a new sound for the band, and definitely expanded their potential.

Next thing we know, it's Trolley Wood, Rave Style. Wink

I do agree Trolley Wood is the best ending they could have had. Heck, it's my favorite song on the CD...but I don't want to call any song on this CD "pants". By Golly (Sandra), I'll pants YOU!

Well, I've had my Eisley music experience ... about a month ago now. Guess what? The songs are still on repeat. I recieved my iPod in the mail - and downloaded the latest iTunes to see 'Free Download of the Week'... none other than Telescope Eyes.

SO I test everything out with that. I was really amazed at how good this song was. So I used my 2 $15 gift cards I received from Christmas and downloaded all the Eisley music iTunes has.

I don't own a physical CD yet. Sucks that iTunes doesn't publish/give you liner notes, etc - but I guess that's a trade off for it being a couple of bucks cheaper. I do intend getting the CD - just to support the band. (Well, and a couple of T-shirts since I know they'll get some $$ from that)

Bought my Room Noises the day it was released. Had to stop in three stores before finding one that had it, and good golly was it ever worth it! I just adore everything about it. Have since purchased the EPs and convinced a few folks to buy the album as well.

I have heard the album three times over this weekend and have ordered my very own copy now...

Favourite song is brightly wound. I love the interplay between the two voices in the second verse... Smile

after first hearing "Room Noises" I was very very impressed as this band has been one of my favourites for a very long time. however I have come to like the older demo and ep tracks more because of the more "raw" sound that eisley is so special for to me. the "creepy fantasy" sound seemed to fade on this release, being way more produced and having a manufactured sound. I still enjoy this record very much and still has not left my playlist, but I do listen to the earlier recordings more frequently.
