Again! My first CD was so scratched and tired, that I had to put her down.

"With your telescope-ope-ope-ope-ope- eye ey eye eyes m-m-m-m-et-t..."

Not that anyone really cares, But I went and re-bought Room Noises yesterday. It's amazing when the songs aren't stuttering. Razz

The sound quality isn't always as good though. That would bug me.

I should go that with my CD's cause I end up getting like 5 copies of all the CD's I listen to a lot but I'm way to lazy to do that... I'm a very lazy person.

I only make copies of the cd's that aren't being sold anymore. Better safe than sorry I say.

I'm going to Montana in July. I think I'll burn CD's for that trip. It makes me nervous to travel with them.

Not if you make a direct copy.

Too True - Bit rate = 192kb/s is as good as your ear can hear anyways.

I don't think that's true. Is it?

Regardless, CDs are only 44.1 khz/s

If you duplicate an audio CD, it will most likely be an inferior copy sonically to the original. There are various reasons for this, among them dirt on the CD and jitter issues. You can read more about it here:

http://www.cdrfaq.org/faq04.html#S4-18

In any case, if you are playing it in your car, you won't notice. You'll probably only ever tell when playing it on a high end audio system.

i just ripped the songs onto my computer right when i bought it becuz naturally i knew how much i would use it....and now it IS all scratched up, mostly---i dunno, i think this happens cuz of putting the cd in so many diff "cd places"--stereo, car, reg cd player etc. theyre all like diff formats or something.

ripping the songs then making a new cd out of them doesnt mess w/the quality i dont think..as long as u choose 192.
