In which Eisley song do you think Stacy and Sherri do the most work with their voices? I mean like doing all the different ranges can and singing loudly and softly and the works. I dunno, I can't really explain it. This thread came to mind while I was listening to lullaby and there's an alarmingly relaxing effect going on while Stacy and Sherri start showing off their pretty voices. Yea, they are definately showing off there. They have the right to, I guess. Such prettyness. Anyway, gimme your thoughts on this. Out |

I think "One Day I Slowly Floated Away" ranks high in this regard. Stacy's singing lower than I can sing consistently (my vocal range measuring stick is always my own voice), and her tone is amazing. Sherri's harmonies are gorgeous, and both girls travel effortlessly through a multi-octave range. Jeez, they make it sounds easy. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

I couldn't do it. i have asthma and find it hard to breathe as it is. i guess i need singing lessons to know how to breathe too. but yeah, i wasnt prepared. _________________ The Barents Sea |

It makes me wonder how they go about writing songs...it seems like they would have to be extremely collaborative in their efforts. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/whitewire4eva http://www.myspace.com/newparables |

Especially the falsetto at the end. people aren't lying when they say she's probably got the best range in indie music. Actually, it's not called falsetto. That's only a guy thing. With women, it's called head voice. But I'd have to agree with Dana on They All Surrounded Me. _________________ Thistledown |

mm. i'd have to say Lost at Sea, and I Wasn't Prepared. at least, live anyway. there are some serious stratosphere notes in Lost at Sea, especially in the bridge bits. you know, i really like the album verson of Lost at Sea, but i'd really love to see them pick it up on the choruses, maybe big chorusey guitar strums and maybe a 3/4 snare march or somthing. |
