nope. I plan on never drinking.
Just because my great uncle or someone...(i forget who) died when he drank too much and his liver shut down and all that stuff. So addiction runs in the family i guess, and i just dont ever want to have to find out if I'll be addicted or not.

I used to go partying 6/7 nights a week when I was younger

does that answer your question hahaha

Today I barely drink,I dunno I just don't feel like it anymore plus I get hangovers which are one of my most hated things

I do have 2 funny stories though

Once I was in the centre of sydney and was getting on a train to go home, somehow I got on the wrong train and ended up like 500km away from where i wanted to go

another time I woke up UPSIDE DOWN in a pot plant,I dropped my key in there and I guess when I went to get it out I must of fallen and fell asleep

I did that for a while, but I had my fill. I still drink, but not to get drunk.

When I really start drinking I can't/don't/won't stop, so for me I when I get drunk I get completely, absolutely, positively 100% plastered.

When I blacked out for 15 hours, puked my guts out for 36 hours, got a really bad case of dehydration, came very close to getting alcohol poisoning (ie almost died), and nearly choked on my own vomit when passed out (ie almost died), I quit drinking. (My behavior that night also factored into why I quit drinking, but I'd rather not discuss that, especially here.)

People say that such behavior is not within a person's ability to control, but I don't see how that can be true. I don't get why people just can't evaluate their level of drunkeness and stop drinking before it becomes a problem. Can anyone shed light on that? I really don't understand it, and I have been drinking for many, many years. Also, earlier, when I said that I went through a stage like that, it actually only lasted about two weeks. Am I just weird?

I used to drink to get drunk, much like more of the same described. There was no middle ground for me,I either didn't drink at all or i got absolutely sloshed. It was a conscious 'all or nothing" attitude i took before i had my first drink so there were no decisions to be made afterwards

I did some silly things but I also did some hilarious things when I was drunk so it was no different to my normal life, sometimes Im funny...sometimes I'm idiotic

I'm underage so I only drink occasionally. But I don't expect to drink very much at all when i'm of age. I try to put healthy things in my body.

I was the same way. I made the mistake of going "if I'm going to drink to get drunk, I'm going to DRINK", and I ended up paying for that.

Ditto, but I've also done some pretty horrifying things, which factored into why I quit. Considering the change of head space I've been in since then, I don't know how different my behavior would be when I'm drunk now as opposed to five months ago.

I like to drink, I don't do it very often anymore because I recently started taking some medications that I'm really not supposed to drink on, but if I'm hanging out with my friends and it's a holiday or we're celebrating something I'll drink. Alcoholism runs in my family so I'm very aware of how often and how much I'm drinking.

I plan on drinking in moderation when I'm of age. Having real Irish Creme in my coffee sounds really good. And then there are some drinks of the Mexican kind that I want to try. Like real Sangria... But not for another 5 years.
