On November 22nd I had the great privilege to attend an Eisley concert, in Chicago. As I watched from a great height in the balcony I was overwhelmed with this awestruck feeling, this was the same feeling I had when I was in attendance at a Radiohead concert this past August. I couldn't help but draw a comparison to that beautiful night in my mind. Stacy reminded me of Thom York on the keyboard delivering the chilling vocals, Sherri with the guitar and the voice of an angel, or maybe I am imagining things. Chauntelle looked like she was having the time of her life playing the guitar and singing without a mic, Weston pounding the drums with effortless ease, and Jonathon leaving nothing to spare on the bass. Absolutely amazing. Eisley is one of the greatest bands in the entire world! After the show I waited in a very long line to get some merchandise, I was kind of sad because I didn't get my beautiful poster autographed because Eisley had gone back stage. Anyway, I spotted Chauntelle in the audience and she was ever so gracious enough to sign my poster, and going above and beyond the extra mile she took the poster back stage for the other members to sign. Thank you, thank you oh, so much! |

thats real cool. chauntelle is pretty awesome. see, the only comparisons i see with radiohead and eisley are: -some siblingry...albeit alot more than radiohead's jonny and colin. -great, classic, unique sound -amazing harmonies -solid sort of shy rythym section -the crunch in sherri's guitars at times (thom/jonny) -and stacy is thom yorke. only adorable...er. and a girl. and. without a lazy eye. i could definately see eisley going places. i see the comparison, with the rhodes and all, and radiohead's a HUGE influence...but i hope they dont get branded a radiohead clone. because they certainly are not. _________________ knives don't have your back. |

Thanks for sharing your Eisley experience! I can't wait until I get to see them play a show sometime... Those points of comparison with Radiohead are definitely all valid, and I think the most important one is that they're striving to create something unique, while still acknowledging and honoring their influences. |

Eisley offers up music that is before and after our time, if that makes any sense. They bring what music was and define what music will be in the future. When Eisley plays a show time almost stands still, the only bad part of an Eisley show is the end; I could listen to Eisley for hours and hours without getting tired, that is how awesome they are. Eisley is like a fresh stream in the middle of the desert, once you have tasted your thirst will never be quenched. Ok, now I am making no sense to myself, when that happens it means that I have tried to out think myself, very, very bad. I shall resort to a diet of bread and water until I come to my senses, and oh yes plenty of Eisley's musical genius. |

FrozenEye, you keep contridicting yourself. If you made up your mind you would be the better off for it. Again you mention Radiohead, with your "There, There" reference. Are you comparing Eisley to Radiohead, or are you not comparing them with anything? |

And another thing to consider: if Eisley is beyond comparison, could they be compared to Radiohead, given the fact that they're beyond comparison as well? |

There, There was not an intentional Radiohead reference. There, There was not a reference to anything really. Sploooookening craziness, I see I nice lilly pad in that pond over yonder, would you like a lilly pad? I compare this lilly pad to a four leaf clover, since both are green. |
