Well they were flown out to the shows by Yahoo, so I assume they're just renting the huge items like Rhodes and bass cabinets instead of spending the billions of dollars to ship/fly them to their destinations. I'm sure they have the essentials though... their guitars and amps.

I wonder about Weston's drum kit though, if that's with him.

boyd mentions some new sound equipment for stacy there... and i remember him telling me they were picking up a new kit for weston the day after they were in chicago last...

idk much technical speak, so idk if they actually have that stuff on tour... but i believe he did say they'd be using all the new stuff from here on out

All he talks about there is a new plugin for her Apple, to be run by her M-Audio MIDI controller. Doesn't have anything to do with the Rhodes.

But yeah, my guess is they just didn't want to ship out her Rhodes for four shows. Yahoo! probably provided this one.

The M-Audio MIDI controller looks like another small keyboard; it plugs into the band's PowerBook, and from there it goes to the sound system. Stacy can use it to get some other sounds, like the baby grand plugin Boyd mentioned in that post, or synth noises, or whatever the song needs. The MIDI controller makes all the sounds that the Rhodes does not. Smile

In this case they backlined all of their equipment. Garron is playing his bass but most everything else is on loan.

That's gotta be rough. I'd get weirded out if I had to play a show without my usual instrument.
