They are probably referring to EP2, or a mixture of old songs by Eisley, would be my guess. Like Eisley's "old works" or something like that.

Well since Warner Brothers owns those recorded tracks that didnt make it on the album, I doubt they would be up for download for free unless they were live versions...

The "Old Works" EP was available, until very recently, for sale directly from the DuPrees. All of these tracks were recorded by the band before they were signed, and since the band own the tracks themselves, they have made them available for free to anyone who wants to download them. They used to be available on the old version of Eisley.com; now, Orange Gold and Green hosts them.

i've always heard it referred to as "EP2"

who branded it "old works?"

as far as the legal end of it, for all i knew this website was some sort of download place like an indie iTunes or something. i haven't kept up with news lately, so i had no idea. but it makes sense since all of those files are public domain anyway.

Old Works, it seemed was the version of EP2 that was released later on. Originally, EP2 did not contain "Mr. Pine" or "Laughing City", but they later recorded those songs with the boys from Midlake, I believe (correct me if i'm wrong). I guess the version with those two songs on it is branded "Old Works".
