I can't wait for this new EP to come out! October 25th is too far away! Head Against the Sky is one of my faves and I'm excited to find out the other previously unreleased songs that are going to be on it...

the other songs are mr pine and the escaping songs, but they're live.

i think that the best part about this EP, is that it clears the way for the 2nd LP to be completely new.

Those songs are great too! Live is always better... most of the time.

Technically, unless it was on the EPs, or on Room Noises, it IS new. Confused

They should seriously record all their unreleased songs (especially Lady of the Woods, They All Surrounded Me, The Escaping Song), and release it...

Hey, even if it's just an iTunes exclusive... Would be quite rad...

the face implies this is bad. i don't necessarily think this is bad. i would really, really, really like to hear a recorded version of Lady of the Wood.

ditto.. the stuff that's not been recorded should be recorded before previously released songs were, no matter if it's indie or not. lol

It's not like I wouldn't gobble up all those yummy eisley nuggets if they were released, but I don't think bands should worry much about getting old material out before working on new stuff. Many bands have written songs earlier in their careers only to record it on later albums and having improved on the song manyfold. My band made the mistake of trying to record nearly every song we had ever written in the first 5 years of our existence for our first album. We didn't get them all, but we did spend six months recording over 24 songs and were less than pleased with the outcome. We would have been better off saving some of those for later or just retiring them completely.

well, although i do want to hear Lady of the Wood, it would be nearly impossible for Eisley to release all of their songs. Especially if they already have 22. I suppose that is what albums are for. Picking from the bunch to have the best possible album you can release. I'm just greedy.

You can hear both versions of Lady Of The Wood at http://www.orangegoldandgreen.com/ in both the audio and video sections of the site

I think my remark was misunderstood. I was simply stating that anything that hasn't been on an EP or Room Noises is new because it seems like people regard all the stuff that hasn't officially been released as old stuff. So yeah ...
