Ok here is the point of this thread, I have told a LOT of people about Eisley, and i have asked a lot of people if they have heard of them, and always end up with a disappointing "NO". So, since Eisley graces us with their beautiful music, i figured the best way we could return the favor is to spread the Eisley love. So, TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW ABOUT EISLEY. Its up to us as the fans to be just that, fans. I have turned a lot of people on to Eisley and now they adore them. Then they told there friends and so on. This means more fans for Eisley!!! Isnt that great? It also means more $ for the band to grow off of. I wish the best to Eisley, and i just want to see them get soo big and known. Also, if you are a christian, you know that we are picky about music anyway, so its a great band to tell people in the church about!! Thanks a bunch----Chris Aldrin _________________ .egassem lanimilbus a si sihT |

Those XXL shirts also work as posters, tents, and billboards if you stretch them out enough... We could plaster Eisley everywhere! _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

You guys are really amazing. (yes. I'm long winded. but, i have to have comprehensive discussions. It's ok not to read my ideas) It's true. Eisley is sorta a well-kept secret to most...(dare I say, "best kept"?) at least down in the trenches, I presume. All those big Nat'l magazines - who reads them? Seriously. I don't even know many or most radio bands because I don't listen. I hear of bands through culture - people saying, "oh have you heard "The Darkness"? OMG..it's like Zeppelin meets Queen meet's the Stones or whatever. Jesse from Brand New let Weston grab some songs off his ipod...and last night Taylor Muses girlfriend - Leiah, already had it and loves it....so we listened on Weston's stereo. And our friend David Carter was in the room....and now I'm talking about it and so is he.. That's how it speads. A few connections at a time... it's authentic, real... can be trusted because it comes through freinds. Truth....I'm not a huge fan of that band yet. I'm sorry, I think Queen was amazing...and I'm a Zeppelin freak, but...I'm not totally ready for 80's glam resurgance. But, I'm open. It was fun. Eisley will spread through similar channels and I think it's far more powerful than video's and radio in a way. I don't like to be handed or force fed music. That's why I like indie music so much... comes from the bottom up. I hope Eisley grows super SLOW so that we avoid the Blast from the TOP syndrome. Then everyone will get sick of it fast and think it's cheesy because of the source. Word of Mouth. True. Thanks. bd _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. Boyd, dont start liking the darkness as a serious band, that is what they most definately are not. i loved them for a couple' weeks but then i realised that the lyrical content of their songs is somewhat terrible. like the hey you song, monday cyling tuesday gymnastics etc, its just wrong. its funny but if they write lyrics like that and then say they are serious well i think they are having a jolly good laugh at us all. that said they are ok, i'd still listen to their album now n then but its not something that in 10 years time ill look back and think oh that was a classic. not like i will with Morning Glory, or The Stone Roses or Appetite for Destruction or any other classic albums ive grew up listening to and hopfully the yet to be released Eisley lp. so the topic, yes erm maybe slow regonition would be good. but if they burst onto the scence is that definately a bad thing? maybe it wouldnt be? or do you want Eisley to be like a cult type following kinda like Supergrass over here in the uk, or belle n seb for that matter. everyones second favourite band keep churning out the classics yet never quite reach a point where EVERYONE likes them. that wouldnt be a bad thing, man, supergrass are still producing classic albums and theyve been around for ages. ok ill stop rambling. as usual im using this board as an excuse not to do assignments for uni. _________________ "A mathematician is a blind man in a dark room looking for a black cat which isn't there." - Charles Darwin (legend) |

the darkness are ok, a fun band nothing more in my opinion. not that great bands arent fun but. not hard rock, just rock suppose hmm harder than say coldplay more riffage yes a bit heavier but, ah go listen there album is erm permission to land, some of its good, i still like them just think they were way way over played in uk this last few months and it kinda spoiled it. in that sense i see where Boyd is coming from about Eisley, id not like it if say virgin radio or radio one took a liking to an eisley song and put it on heavy rotation cos for one it would spoil the song and secondly if you mention the band to someone they'd only know that one song and its kinda pointless having half the uk as fans of a certain band if all they know is one song. that said, eisley, get popular over here and come back to do some live shows now you can tell i have assignments to do, if i combine this post and the one above, i'd probablly have reached the word count on what i have left to do, eek _________________ "A mathematician is a blind man in a dark room looking for a black cat which isn't there." - Charles Darwin (legend) |

cool. Thanks Potato. I totally agree with Juan. I think I always agree with Juan. Like I said, I didn't buy in (to The Darkness or whatever. But it was fun. I couldn't take it serious and told those in the room the same last night. THEN we played bit's of Elliot's: Figure 8, and X/O... and the entire room swooned. I try to invision what Rob will do with Eisley. (another thread, I know) Meanwhile - right Juan, it wouldn't be bad if bigger stuff happens. I just like the journey...it's nice. The band is adapting to the pace right now..but they seriously don't like the idea of being rock stars and having people freak out and stuff. Maybe that's good. They just want to be normal, and hang out with people and have regular freinds and do shows like always. Right now, that can happen and they love it. Chauntelle told me just the other day again, "I hope it can stay like this forever. I don't want it to get too big or get weird..." It was great going out, doing shows, hanging out, talking, etc. That's the way it should be. hmmm. I'm clueless. Honestly, she probably doesn't have much of a say in the matter. growing or going backwards I guess. So...slow, steady growth... no oversaturation, please. No rock stars... I don't want to move into some stupid gated community. That would suck. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. hehe. Boyd, i think maybe 'the Eisleys' need to realise that they could be in for big things. yes feet should be kept on the ground, definately. but maybe they should be prepared for a not so normal life! like you guys, or at least you have, said in the past that if it happens it happens and if it doesnt then not to worry y'all will have enjoyed your experiences, but i just think it'll be good for y'all to be prepared. i dont know, maybe its a shock when it happens. s'pose if it happens gradually then it wont be so much a shock and the band can all be big humble pop stars. have fun. its amazin how i post so many words when words should be being typed else where, ie not on a message board. _________________ "A mathematician is a blind man in a dark room looking for a black cat which isn't there." - Charles Darwin (legend) |

pfft... who here HASN'T told everyone about Eisley?! I remember last fall I told everyone about them! I burned a CD for a friend of mine right before he went off to LA to visit some family and he came back saying 'DUDE! Eisley (mosseisley then.. ) is so awesome! I listened to that CD all the way to LA and back, I couldn't get enough of it!' (it was just the mp3's from the site ya know?) anyway, I told some other friends of mine, sent them to my 'website' so they could easily download the mp3's, made some more cd's and after a while this girl in my class who I had never told about 'em over heard my talking about something eisley related and she was like 'yeah, Eisley is awesome!' needless to say, I was shocked! so I asked her where she had heard about 'em, and she said that some friend of hers the next town over had a burned CD of theirs... so I was like... anyway, I told this chick that, and got no love... she just said something like.. 'yeah, you heard about 'em on the radiohead messagebaord? well I have some friends who are totally into that thing, so they probably heard about 'em from there.. ' which was a totally ignorant reply, because the radiohead messageboard doesn't really work that way, plus I only know of one person from that town who goes on there, and I introduced them to eisley for the first time a bit later... anyway.. it's like... and totally... can you tell i'm californian? heh there's also the Eisley street team.. i'd join, but I never get out, so I know i'd never hand all that free stuff out to anyone, so it'd just be a waste, getting dusty here in my room.. and err.. bah.. i've got studying to do, what the hell am I doing on a messageboard? sorry.. i'm soo outie... peeaaaccee.. and yeah... totally spread the Eisley love.. that's what everyone's gots ta do 'n' stuff.. right? hrm what? astronomy? I have foundthe exact oposite to be true. Everyone I know knows about them, and can recognize them on site. I was chatting with someone and they wanted to see a pic of me and I was like oh crap what good pics of me do I have. oh that chauntelle one. So I send it and I was gonna be like oh that is a girl I have met once blah blah (so as not having to explain it) and they were like. DUDE, THATS CHAUNTELLE WHERE DO YOU KNOW HER FROM? anyways that is what it is like for me. _________________
