 Post subject: but of course... eisley in houston 11/7/05Posted: Mon Nov 07, 2005 5:59 pm 
so i get to the venue. augustana's van broke down, they do an all acoustic set, but i spend most of it catching up with people. i got to meet boyd, the coolest band-dad ever. the girls of the sugar land vineyard church (some are friends of mine) are all wearing shirts that say "garron for president", etc. so eisley gets up on stage. sherri: "hi we're garron. no, i'm kidding we're eisley" people continue cheering for garron (why not? he's a cool guy) alot. they start with head against the sky... yeah. the show continues, and the next funny thing occurs. sherri:"this next song is called 'i wasn't prepared'" stacy:"no it's not" sherri:"yes it is! we're playing this song!" then during "my lovely" all of a sudden you hear BANG! sherri has just smashed her face into the microphone. chauntelle and sherri are both cracking up, but continue playing/singing while laughing. later someone yells out "they all surrounded us!". and the band is like, "sure why not? does anybody know this song?" *me and someone two rows ahead of me raise our hands* sherri:"okay. this song is for you two people right there." then garron moves over to sherri and mumbles something. sherri:"uh, garron doesn't know this song" so they wing it anyways, and i get to hear my absolute favorite eisley song. oh yeah, i got to tell chauntelle happy birthday also. 
then switchfoot... man they know how to put on a show. also the lead singer walks out on this ledge and stands like right in front of my head.... then proceeds to sweat on my arm. i guess it was kind of cool, but mostly gross. ALL IN ALL A GREAT SHOW! (no cameras were allowed  )
edit i forgot to add something else cool about the duprees and switchfoot. a little while before the show begins, switchfoot has 10 extra tickets that they give to boyd. so wade and parrish dupree are calling friends to see if they want to come last minute. so there's 3 tickets left, and they ask us if we know anyone... so we get to invite our friends the clarks who were totally psyched. it was awesome. _________________

The no cameras totally sucked. But... I still managed to keep my streak alive... 14 consecutive times of catching Eisley on film (ok... digital)... thanks to my phone. Sure... they suck... but still.

that totally rawks!! i saw Eisley with my brother on November 3, 05 in Nokia Theatre and they were good there..I was trying to get to meet them and my bro asked their dad and he said he would come back for us but he never did. Thanks to 'dad', we waited 3 hours for them. Sounds like a fun show! I hope Boyd posts the clip. It is fun to see musicians mess up because It helps me realize that they are actually human and make mistakes. Thanks for sharing you experience.
