I enjoy all the band's posts.

However, unfortunately, either Stacy does it on purpose.. or just doesn't know how the posting system works here.... she overwrites her old posts.

I was showing some friends the posts.. and noticed it ... she overwrote the clock day one... kinda a bummer Sad

i think she deletes 'em on purpose.

I think her post just exemplfies her complexity. Its nice to know that there is something deeper to the members of Eisley (Stacy included of course). And that the superficial aspects of life are not everything that they are and their music is. So many artists today are swept away by shallowness. I respect the honesty and phases of truth that Eisley strives to embody as I am sure everyone here does.

You shouldn't feel bad about that. You didn't do anything wrong/offensive.

Look, it's a PWNY.

Actually, I'd kind of like to be in the public eye. I could say whatever retarded stuff I like to do (like I do now), and people would be all interested like I'm the coolest person on earth (like I am now...nobody notices). People would be all, "What are the philosophical ramifications of Boone getting new glasses," and I'd be all, "Gosh, ya'll are so retarded."

Then I could throw things at people trying to get in my business, and everybody would hate me, and that'd make them more interested in me.

You can't blame Stacy for getting upset with the untrue rumors that get spread around; I wouldn't want that either. Stacy is just a private person, that's who she is. But, I think I like it that she doesn't share too much and is mysterious. As one of the creative forces behind the music and lyrics its good to be kept in the dark; I wouldn't want to know everything.

I'm glad though that Chauntelle, Boyd, Weston, and Garron are all outgoing and embrace being in the spotlight. I'd be exactly like Weston always doing crazy/funny stuff at random times just for my own personal entertainment.

haha! This is so true.
It might be annoying though. You'd be like...I have always eaten honeydew melon why do you care now?
And they would be like "Wow, she eats honeydew melon, How wise, How wonderful!"
and contemplate what this means.
It would be frustrating and funny at the same time.

i don't know. i've always been a tad bit annoyed when people act completely normal around a band/singer/actor/wellknown person. i mean, yes, they're normal people too, but at the same time, it's almost... insulting to me. to just... act like they're the same as the next person. they aren't.

i don't mean for anyone to worship them, of course. that's silly. but these are, as you said, "exceptionally talented" people. you don't meet people like them every day, you just don't. i was horribly shy when i met them a few weeks ago because... i'll just be honest, i'm a bit in awe of them. if someone can inspire me the way they do and i can listen to their music repeatedly without tiring of it, i might subconsciously put them on the proverbial pedestal. maybe that's just me.

perhaps i'm wrong for thinking this way. i don't know. and i don't mean to accuse you of disrespecting the band at all, in fact, i know where you're coming from. but i like to think that if they're special enough for us all to talk about them all the time, listen to their thoughts and feelings, and buy their albums and merchandise and show tickets, they're special enough to be considered a little "more" than the average joe on the corner.

or maybe i just like them way too much and i need to get a hobby. that too. Razz

I think famous people probably tend to get tired of people fawning over them all the time.

Whenever I meet anyone in the public eye, I have no problem carrying on a normal conversation with them. I don't like to put them on a pedestal. I think they're just people, like you and me, with an extra dash of luck and talent. So I like to talk to them about normal things and bands and stuff like that. I have friends who get really shy and quiet around celebs and are normally very outgoing. They just kind of freeze up and get too excited and awestruck.

But I totally understand where you are coming from. Eisley inspires a lot of awe and a lot of respect. And it's perfectly normal for you to think that the fact that Eisley's members are just so incredibly remarkable, we should treat them as so.

I've always felt like I'd be insulting someone famous or well-known if I DIDN'T act like they were completely normal. Haven't you ever heard some famous musician say "I'm just a normal person like everyone else."? I hear that often. A lot of them want to be treated like they are normal. Because they ARE. The only difference is that they're talents are being showcased. Still sounds normal, doesn't it? Well there you go.

i agree that you can chat it up about normal everyday topics. that's the polite, normal thing to do. but thinking that they're everyday ordinary people, well, i disagree. even if they say they are.

i don't ask for the autographs of everyday ordinary people.
