So the second to last day of work (last thursday), I was sitting at my area just doing what I usually do, and someone called me into their office to fix a printer or something. Then I heard my friend yelling "LUKE! COME HERE RIGHT NOW!" in an urgent tone. I ran there a few seconds later and lo and behold from his window it was Eisley getting into their minivan about to LEAVE the office. I was heartbroken. How could no one have introduced me when they were visiting?! Oh the missed opportunity to meet the band of my dreams! Oh the horror. True story. Brush with destiny. A heartbreaker, I know. Maybe some other time, I hear you guys are in LA for a while to record With self pity, Luke |

Hmmm...well, I had to research my own post to figure out where Luke saw the band: (guess you guys saw my last posted pics.) http://www.eisley.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3091 At WB offices of course. He's obviously in the music industry. (read his profile) I know what you're thinking...Sherlock Boyd. It's a gift. Luke might be an intern or any number of entry positions that would allow him to be in proximity to many real stars. Eisley, of course... not being stars would have actually have been fun to meet, I think. hmmm... if he saw them leaving the office, we were parked right out front; he might have been in the lobby or just driving down the street. My powers are limited. Luke..use the force. We'll be in LA for almost 3 months. Surely at some point we'll be back at WB. boyd _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. I was so heartbroken But if you note my post I said it was, sadly, my second to last day. I hope they can hire me back, but if not I won't be at WB anymore. sniff sniff. Maybe they'll invite me around to visit the next time the band is in so I can fawn, pine, etc etc. If you're familiar with the WB offices (the newly renovated ones) I was directly to the right of the lobby... in that department. Don't really wanna reveal TOO much, except to say I saw the getting-into-the-van from my area and was very sad. If there wasn't a moat around the office I might have tried to jump from the balcony to act like a REAL fan Oh forsooth! What a brush with destiny. |

hey. So, my detective work was decent. Sorry, again that wel missed you. That's the breaks, huh? But you could have just ran out screaming "wait, wait!!"...and we'd have all stopped and...well, the outcome would have a different ending. JUST kidding. Hey. I think Eisley will be doing a show or two while out there; Maybe your destiny can change. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. I think Eisley will be doing a show or two while out there; Maybe your destiny can change. That it was! I'll buy you one of those capes Sherlock Holmes was always wearing... you can start a new fashion while you're in LA. I could just imagine me running from my office outside just to meet you guys, I think that would have been pretty funny. Alas I am a bit too timid when it comes to celebrities and people I recognize in general (Don't sell yourself short, if you're a celebrity to one person than you're a celebrity dangit I'm home in Boston till Jan 5th for the holidays, but I hope I get hired for good at Warner when I return, that way I can keep a keen eye out for Eisley, woohoo! Oh... and do work too I guess Hope you guys had a good christmas, I bet it's great to be home after months of touring and such (I know it's great for me, I moved out to LA in August by myself, not knowing a single person, and being home again even for 2 weeks is fantastic) Yeah! Play in LA! Headline at Avalon or the Troubadour! 15-20 song set! Mmm wishful thinking. Thanks Boyd |
