I love it of course! I love it because it's different. It doesn't sound like a lof of the stuff out there. Can you tell the difference between Hoobastank, Saliva, Creed, Nickelback, or 3 Doors Down? Me either! How about Sum 41, Blink 182, Good Charlotte, Yellowcard, New Found Glory, Simple Plan, All American Rejects or American Hi Fi? Me either! This band is Eisley, and NOBODY sounds like Eisley. i can tell the difference between all those bands. _________________ "I should have listened to my friends" www.myspace.com/georgeproject www.purevolume.com/jesusworshiper |

Howdy everyone. Let's refrain from bashing bands (in this part of the forum, at least). Eisley gets fans from all walks, and it would suck to alienate a new Laughing Citizen. when i first got Room Noises, i never listened to it. my friend got it after i told him about Eisley, and he burnt it for me. i would just listen to Marvelous Things and bash on Telescope Eyes because the original verison is better (though now i love both). then i forgot about it for the summer, because i was going through this drama phase with my friends. then randomly i was like "hey i have that one Eisley CD" and listened to it, and now i can't stop. then i felt bad for not buying it and supporting the band, so i bought it and i think i'm gonna buy all the EPs i can just for more support. |

I'd heard a lot about Eisley for quite a few months, but never bothered to check them out, since all the things people were describing them as seemed to point directly towards the type of music I dislike. But then about a week ago, I was browsing one of my local music stores looking for something new to try, and the album stood out to me. So I bought it on a whim. And I'm really loving (almost) all of it. The fact that it was totally not what I expected made it exactly what I was looking for. Something fresh and new. Ethereal even. If I had 300 bucks floating around, I'd fly down to see them in Toronto, but as it is I'll just have to keep listening to the album. It kind of makes me very happy. _________________

My friend told me about Eisley a couple months ago when he saw them on tour with NFG. So I heard the name and wasn't initially hooked, but it stayed in my mind. Especially, since it wasn't Star Wars that first popped in my head but Ronald Isley and I was kinda surprised he would be during with NFG Anyway, about a week ago this Sat. morning music show (b in tune) was on and it happened I was just getting up. It just happened to be what was on the TV when I turned it on and it just happened they were doing a profile on Eisley, showing the Marvelous Things video. The song and the video mesmorized me for some reason and I found out more about them, dl whatever I could find from itunes. I finally got the album Friday and been playing ever since! I love the songs, the album (as you know) is beyond amazing. Oddly enough, this weekend I found the old EP songs on OGG and I absolutely LOVE those too. Very moody, emotional, very moving. Laughing City, Blacken Crown, Sleep for Me, the original Telescope Eyes etc. I'm glad I found them as well! I guess this is all old for most ppl, but better late than never I suppose! |
