I just want to say to the person who started this thread, and other kids like him, to open your mind and have respect. I know I'm not the first person to say this (and I certainly won't be the last), but I doubt that any amount of "Have some respect" lectures will change anyone's mind about things like these. I just wish people like you would, put simply, shut your mouth. I also enjoy Stacy's journal entries. It's especially soothing to me because my mind is much the same way, and I've never met anyone whose mind functions as mine does. I've had my share of "What are you saying? Put down the pipe!" and won't tolerate a couple of simple-minded punks to run other people down. But an Internet post from me will likely not do anything. Kimbrtones, it really is great of you to be so supportive of your daughters and the others. Thanks a lot. We could use more people with your empathy. |

The title of the thread "i think stacy needs to put down the pipe..." seems to insinuate she was smoking something, phrase usually refers to pot. I think that was the disrespect being referred to. |

Actually, I think it's referring to crack. Which brings to mind one of the funniest things I've ever heard: "This ain't tobacky!" _________________ Scriptozoology, a screenwriting blog .. Facebook |

Why does everything have to be perfectly understood in the first place? *leaning hunched into the dank closet under the stairs, weaves my fingers about for a broom sturdy and prim* *quite gently pokes the broom around in burrows until thirty bleary-eyed rabbits appear* *ushers rabbits into a tiny oval room flanked with the bark of the harpsicord tree* *takes a key from the deep, wide pockets of my night gown and places it firmly in the hand of the most responsible looking rabbit* *tells the rabits to play, anon* *the rabbits, in gracious looping archs of melody, describe how le trou is as yoresome as the pirates of old, boats forever cobwebbed and barnacled in the Lands of the North where the Black Rocks stand guard against the cold sea* *the rabbits tip their wide brimmed hats and scurry back to their burrows, sealing their burrows with the sticky residue of their camomile tea* I like the way you think and write. wow, I liked that very much... I'm picturing the serene rabbits spinning such stories now as I type thank you _________________ don't ask me ask the ministry |

Yeah, I saw no disrespect and was surprised people were reacting the way they were. I saw it as playful banter. A common phrase...a fun way to say "she writes bizarre things and I don't understand them." That's not a BAD thing. I doubt she intends them to be understood. When I write I usually don't intend people other than me to know the real meaning behind the words. But I did find that bit in her journal very intruiging and interesting. I think it was going for a feeling rather than a concrete meaning or idea anyway. _________________ -Brooke |

I enjoy Stacy's writing. Any "great" writer (Hemingway, LeRoy, Paulanuik) don't write something straightforeward (neither do i in my writing, http://abused-cat.livejournal.com/ request to be my friend if you care to read.) wheres the fun in straightforeward? great writers make you think. thus Stacy is a great writer too. and that works both ways since my name is Stacy also _________________ if i had to explain it, i wouldn't know where to start its like you're falling in love while i just fall apart

Again, another reason why the people in Eisley never post on this forum. (*hint* Because of threads like these) _________________ http://www.compassion.com/Default |
