I like this song, a lot.
In fact, it's stuck in my head.
the problem with this is that any time a song is stuck in my head, if possible, I have to figure out the accompianment [sp?], so I can play musician.
There is a pretty little piano part on that song. I have the basic notes figured out, but does anyone have the actual music?
[I know that boyd and everyone are touring right now, so if it has to wait a while, like until after tour, I don't mind very much.]

i doubt the people who wrote the song even remember. from what i understood from boyd they did it not even plan to record it and the hanson boys just happened to have that song at a musician retreat (if I'm remembering right) and chauntelle sang on it to never sing it again or be played live again. who knows. your ear will be your best guess.

i love that song sooo much.
if only i was a little more musically inclined i would try and teach myself how to play it... that would be awesome.
so if you figure it out... let us know!

The goal of the Fool's Banquet workshop, according to Boyd's post, was for each group to write and record a song in one day... I'm betting that it was more improvisation than anything and they probably never wrote down the actual notes. It seems pretty simple though (says the rhythm guitarist). I bet if you've already got the basic notes figured out you can get the rest easily enough. Good luck! Post a cover if you do one! Wink

It's a pretty simple song.
Like Hannah said, if you have the basic notes already figured out you could probably go from there.

I think that's what I'll do when I get the chance.

Can you tell me what the notes are? I'd ask my brother to figure it out, but I don't feel like going upstairs, and I can't exactly pick stuff out myself.

one whole day? really? that seems a long time to write one song.

Klang used to do these things called "10 minute songs" where you'd have 10 minutes to write and perform a song

Golly, Poster

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeell.......

The key is Am...or C, same thing, basically.

The chords for the verses are Am, F, Dm, F.
The chorus is C, Em, F, Dm.

So it's like:
Verse 1:
Am................F.......Dm..........F
....Have you heard, have you tried to understand
Am............F...Dm........F
....It's alright, it gets easier with time........
Am..............F.......Dm.......F
......I have changed, and I realized I was
Chorus:
......C.....................Em.................F...................Dm
......Wrong, I was wrong, now I'll never see your face
...............C...............Em.................F..............Dm
......Anymore, oh my love, I'd give anything for one more day with you.
Am, F, Dm, F

The it plays another verse with the verse chords, and another chorus with the chorus chords....If you want an entire version with the chords and all the lyrics just pm me and I'll get them to you.

Oh how could I forget, the piano part. It's real simple, it's only during the bridge of the song and it goes: a,b,c,a,a,g,a......d,d,d,d,e,c,b,a.

(sorry about the dots...it wouldn't format right with just the spaces...)
