I'm writing an insanely long and obsessive description of the concert, which I won't post here. Highlights: I saw Christie, which was pretty cool. Then I saw Weston and Garron (while waiting to buy shirts) and about died of happiness! The frontman of Seer, a really loud metal band, said that his mom was in the audience and hadn't seen him play in years. The bassist and guitarist of Envy on the Coast kept beaming at each other and the bassist had great expressions in general. A girl during Brighten, presumably after saying something negative about the band: "...but he's really hot!" The poor Brighten bassist broke his strap! Chauntelle kept telling the audience that it was okay if we wanted to sit down or "chill out" because we were probably very tired. Sherri told us to sing "I Wasn't Prepared" because she might not be able to, and during the chorus she leaned back and started conducting with her hands. Sherri: "I wrote a song about aliens taking over people's bodies. I hope that's okay." Sherri said "The Crazy Donkey" in a wacky voice and waggled her fingers. Weston sang along to "Just Like We Do!" I was in front of the stage on the right side, which meant I could see Sherri, Stacy, and Garron really well, but Chauntelle and Weston (my favorites) not very well, so during "Tree Tops" I got out of position and moved to the back left. During my journey, I saw Boyd! thoughtlessbeast: "Garron is so sad! I was making faces at him and he was just, like, (sad face)!" SET LIST Mr. Pine Marvelous Things The Escaping Song My Lovely Telescope Eyes Golly Sandra I Wasn't Prepared I Could Be There For You Memories They All Surrounded Me Invasion Over the Mountains I Feel Good Head Against the Sky Many Funerals Like the Actors Just Like We Do Tree Tops To show my obsession, here are some pictures of my history notebook:
The adorable Envy on the Coast guys (although I could never get one of the really cute moments between them): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDlm29LFf4Q http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbvRtgn6toI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACP1IztWxyw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkjAoKIkYh8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVbibqnqOh0 The Simon Dawes drummer was endearing, but the bassist was trying way too hard to look cool.

I was so excited watching Weston's sparkly drums come out! I'd recognized Chauntelle's guitars across the room.
