but, maybe not. I realized on these past three shows, that I, (kimbrtones, 4/5ths band mom), was listening to their shows as a fan, not just their mom The thought had never really settled in like it did on this mini tour. It's kinda weird. As they have grown, I don't get to see all of their shows, and I am just like some of you, hearing a song for the first time, and having my favorites, hoping they will do them, and feeling a little sad when they don't. That's just a strange feeling since I am, "mom" to most of them. Just thought I would share that. |

This is crazy but... I think they should put blackened crown on the full length. Am I crazy? Everybody keeps bringing up that song. But only deep, deep, serious, old school fans will ever know about that song if it gets impacted in it's indie state by the ominous full length. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. You're not crazy, Boyd! Really, if you think that millions of new fans could come in, NO Eisley song is old. Tons of bands put "old" songs on their albums all through their career. Look at the Pixies. They put a song from their original demo (rerecorded, of course) on their fourth and last album. That was a 1987 song (or so) that wound up on a 1991 (?) album. Blackened Crown still sounds like Eisley. Progression is awesome, but just because it's a step or two behind doesn't mean it can't be revisited from time to time. But that could just be me. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

I agree with you Boyd, Blackened Crown should be on the full-length. It's such a good song. It could even have a spiffee black and white video to go with it. _________________ Audioscrobbler Now

I love Blackened Crown although I prefer hearing it on EP2 (as opposed to live... which is still good, don't get me wrong). I really like the quiet, minimal sound on the EP. It's great. When it's played live... it loses some of that minimalism. _________________ "If you're a ninja, every day is like friday." -Jamie M. |

Speaking of weird... I would find it weird if total strangers came up and introduced themselves to me. When does that start becoming normal? What would be even more odd is... when people start asking you to sign stuff and when people want to take pictures of you or with you. What I do like about the band is that they handle it all with such patience and kindness and sincerity. I generally resist meeting strangers of any sort because it makes me feel awkward, but I'd feel worse if I didn't say hi. I haven't said hi to Boyd or Kim though. Perhaps one day? _________________ "If you're a ninja, every day is like friday." -Jamie M. |

Kim, without your gracious support and hard work behind the scenes, taking care of business and all those small , tiny, yet very important issues, then your band and family wouldn't be able to function. That you cannot be around to hear all the songs as they are written, i believe means that the band must be blessed with success, which makes things so busy, you cannot possibly be around like you once were. Although it seems strange for you, i believe it is sign that things are a really going strong! And, yes, i agree, Blackened Crown should be on the full length...along with Sunfeet, Brightly Wound, Lullabye, and Wings and Windows, which i hope are not forgotten! Also re-record Memories and restore the missing off-beat hi-hat that makes the groove for that entire song! Curses to the producer that removed it!!! |
