It wasn't the first Eisley song I heard, but I just don't really care for it. For any of the different versions of it. Although for a while I was groovin' on the really chunky sound of the chorus on the Moss Eisley recording.

I actually really like the (early) EP version of this song. The original lyrics and rhodes/bass intro (really all of the music) fits well with the subject/mood of the song. Harsh but you can totally see some jerky kids/people saying things like that.

Radiohead was over Creep the same year
it came out.

Eisley was over T.E.'s before it was re-introduced
on the full length. The John Goodmanson version
on the ep was # 24 most played on the Dallas rock
station and had a 98% approval rating; the new
version got virtually no radio play. Dallas was over it
and WB didn't push it. I'm sorta glad.

btw. They recorded the song first on their first
indie ep... way back in 2001 or 02. I can't remember
it's so long ago. Do you think the band is over it?
ha ha.... But that's normal i think. Not dissin' the tune.

And there you have it... more inside moments you never
asked for.

Aw Boyd, we appreciate the inside moments Smile

'Inside moments' is a cool term for it. : )

It's my least favorite song on the album but it's a very good song.

Actually, come to think of it, it is too beautiful.

You can't help but be in a great mood when you're listening to Eisley.

i just noticed, it's kinda like all these girls that say they like weezer because they've heard beverly hills. wlel. not really.
they think they like a band because they've heard 1 or 2 songs. and then they go to their concerts to hear the one song. and that song or even that CD isn't even good. it's so over played. and it's really annoying.
i still like TE but . i dont know. whatever.

sorry. i just like completely changed the subject. HA.H

i used the original version of Telescope Eyes in a skate video i made.

it went very well, it made the little section very dramatic and serious...

when the new version came out, it was faster and a little more radio friendly... it's the only song i'll skip on Room Noises.

the original version is still one of my favorite Eisley songs, though..

It was the 2nd Eisley song I heard...and actually the song that originally really hooked me on the band. There are other songs I like better now, but I still love Telescope Eyes too...then again, there isn't an Eisley song I don't like Smile

When I got the Room Noises CD, I remember not liking Telescope Eyes as much as their other songs... but.. I turned out liking it better as I got to listen to it more. It's one of the easier songs to tab, and to sing as well, hee hee. It's still a good song.

I think that their songs aren't anywhere like Telescope Eyes now, though. They are MUCH better! But, anything that Eisley palys... they make it special music. I love Eisley!

i loved telescope eyes, then i didnt like it, but now i love it again. haha.

the only song i skip on room noises is brightly wound. i don't know why, i just never liked the song. well, i don't exactly skip it. i listen to it till the chorus, then i skip the chorus, and listen to the thing where stacy and sherri are singing together, then i change it. ahha, but that's just me.
