Yesterday my friends adrian,Adam and Luke decided to spend the whole day in brisbane going cd shopping and going to a few bars before seeing Damien Rice @ night. We ended up at a pub in fortitude valley called the jubillee and they had a bluesfest day going on.Anyways this band stepped up on stage

and Luke said "wow, its a fatter and uglier version of the magic numbers"

and we all laughed

I know don't who the magic numbers are, so to me you are pretty much just calling the girl fat and ugly = mean.

If you have to ask if it's 'mean' or 'funny' it usually is funny. Laughing

Actually, that works backwards on Paul's threads. Wink

I think it's mean. Didn't we just have a thread smackdown about making fun of people because of their weight? Razz

it's mean-clever.

...which, unfortunately, won't entirely excuse the mean.

one time, Eisley had this band open up for them, that was way worse than that picture.
It had nothing to do with their weight. It was a band of old, middle aged "wanna-bes" that thought they had their day on stage.
They did worship songs, none of them could hit a note, and these people were so pleased with themselves.
Then Eisley took the stage, and they stood in front of Eisley.
It goes in the memory book as one of Eisley's most depressing shows. Confused

Ouch. That's is a pretty sad show.

Did the ladies seem impressed with Eisley at all?

Thats exactly what this band was as well, the singer even apologised at the end because she sounded so bad..No kidding

There were larger and uglier people on stage during the day but the fact that there were 2 guys and 2 girls made luke throw out his comment, which I admit made us all crack up

Was she serious? And did she have a reasonable excuse for sounding bad?

Because I mean, if you have a cold or something and can't sing as well as normal, I can understand apologizing for that, but just flat-out apologizing for performing at all is pretty pathetic. Whether you sound bad or not.

she was serious,She kept trying to hit notes that were way out of her range and it sounded like someone was standing on a cat
