How is "Wound" pronounced in Brightly Wound? I always thought it was wound like a gash in your leg, but I never thought about the fact that that wouldn't make much sense. Brightly Wound the other way doesn't make much sense to me, either, though.

Just curious. Smile

grammatically, it has to be wound like wownd. cuz brightly is an adverb which describes an verb or adjective, and wound (like a gash) is a noun. which is neither a verb nor an adjective.

ha. sorry. i'm a dork.

wound (like a gash) can also be a verb, right? like "i want to wound you" or "she wounded me." so it is understandable that people would be pronouncing it woond.

hmm. yeah, you're right i didn't even think of that. but it still sounds weird... like it should be brightly wounded. haha it's weird that different people think of it in different ways ... i always saw it as brightly wownd and so it seems silly any other way.

I just never saw sense in a "brightly" woond. Also, woonds don't seem as "Eisley." Necessarily ...

There's this Texas is the Reason song that has the same issue. "Nickel Wound." It could go either way, and I never did hear which one it was. ha. Or maybe I did once, but I forgot. Confused But I think that one's wownd because there are nickel wownd things.

Ow, my head.
