I believe what Tyler meant was that the lyrics have their strengths and weaknesses, as Eisley lyrics always have. I never really listened to them for the words, 'cause the whole Narnia-inspired fantasy world stuff doesn't do it for me, nor does the very basic stuff like "Telescope Eyes". Rather, I've always been in it for the way Sherri and Stacy's voices blended so nicely, and in that respect at least I don't think Combinations will disappoint me. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

I guess what I meant from my statement is that I was wondering, in particular, which Eisley lyrics he thought were 'bad'. I understand that Eisley has their strengths and weaknesses in their writing, but I never thought anything was 'bad'. That's just my opinion, though. _________________ www.allisongill.net www.myspace.com/silverbugs www.last.fm/users/allisoncostello www.imahuman.tumblr.com www.isitreallysostrange.wordpress.com [i spend too much time on the internet, apparently.] ![]() |

I'm curious too as to which Eisley lyrics you think are bad. I've never really disliked anything but that's just my opinion as well. |

Fleetwood Mac is one of my favorite bands and I can definitely hear the influence. Needless to say, the 14th is going to be a fantastic day. You know all this kinda worried me. I'm not really into Fleetwood Mac-esk rock and I really liked how the imaginative descriptions from RN and the EPs really paint a picture of a whole new world in one's head. HOWEVER, having Room Noises II would've been boring. I'm excited, because I think like Boyd said a long time ago when they were recording, these songs are different but still very Eisley...and they grow on you, but once they grow on you, they don't grow off they just get better. With Many Funerals as an example (since besides Invasion, that's the only other almost full song I've heard recorded): I wasn't sure about that one when they first debuted it, but it grew on me to the point where I LOVE it now. I'm excited to fall in love with the other songs too. |

Um, yeah... I never said I wanted the lyrics to be just like Room Noises or whatever. I just said they were about the same, good and bad. Good: I could be there for you Like the Actors Lady Get Away Ten Cent Blues Bad: Go Away Combinations Invasion _________________ EisleyForever wrote: you're A-list in my heart! MAKECOLDPLAYHISTORY |

To be fair...doesn't almost every musician have strengths and weakness? _________________ Scriptozoology, a screenwriting blog .. Facebook |

Don't get me wrong, I like the whole unicorns in the forest thing, but I'm really excited that they're starting to SAY stuff in their songs. The new songs have more meaning for the most part. They're showing more depth and maturity, which can never really be a bad thing. |

Good: I could be there for you Like the Actors Lady Get Away Ten Cent Blues Bad: Go Away Combinations Invasion I see you prefer Stacy. I know you are just kidding, but... I think it's safe to say we have no idea who wrote which songs, since they collaborate so much. From what I have heard, it's going to be far more honest. I'm happy there are more love songs. I've been playing Invasion on the piano, and it's a lot of fun. Ten Cent Blues is pretty much the most amazing song I've heard from Eisley thus far, in my opinion. I will withhold judgement on Go Away because I haven't heard the finished product, but from the live shows, I think it's my least favorite. I'll probably still sing it loudly in my car and love it though. |

There is not much territorialism in those areas, I dont' think. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |
