Jeez-a-loo, the instrumentation on every last track is blowing me away here. I guess amazing arrangements are to be expected when their producer is a composer. The bridge to "A Sight To Behold" sounds sooooo much like Battlestar Galactica. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

Yeah, now they just need to get Nigel to produce the third album and have Thom teach them how to say really simple things in a way that no one could possibly understand. _________________ EisleyForever wrote: you're A-list in my heart! I think Eisley did a good job in giving Combinations the title. I just love love love that song. And....All the others too!!! _________________ http://www.flickr.com/photos/karatherecluse http://www.rosewhiteboyhood.tumblr.com |

I really wanted to "experience" the album the day it came out but...... .....I'll just experience the DVD instead! This is awesome. My jaw dropped from surprise/amazement several times during the listen. In fact I can pick a moment from each song probably where I'm like "whoa!" Maybe I'm just a sap, but I LOVE the last two tracks. The ending of both of those gets me (instrumentation for Combinations, the vocals for If You're Wondering). Great closing to the album. Anyway, I'm liking them all. Even the ones I was unsure with hearing live/clips (Ten Cent Blues, Taking Control) are awesome. I'd be surprise if "Go Away" and "Taking Control" aren't singles. The only thing I don't like is that they put this up the night I have to write a bunch of papers! |

I allowed myself to listen through once. Just enough to decide that the album is perfect and beautiful. Totally. And if I thought I was loving it by the end of the first 6 songs, that was nothing compared to how I was feeling after listening to Ten Cent Blues followed by A Sight To Behold followed by Combinations. That trio of songs is seriously a powerhouse. Mystic210 wrote: Maybe I'm just a sap, but I LOVE the last two tracks. You don't have to be a sap to appreciate how honest the lyrics feel. _________________

They're gorgeous. The horn outro in the title-track reminds me of Penny Lane. I honestly feel that "Go Away" should've received this treatment. I could really do without the drums. And Sherri never sounded better on "If You're Wondering". |

"A Sight to Behold" is my current favorite. Seriously, it sounds so epic on a nice sound system. _________________ "The revolution starts today, not tomorrow." :: got g-Love? |

That totally makes sense. Interesting. Thanks! (And thanks to whoever posted the lyrics.) |

Lovely album. Go ahead and listen. Why deny yourself something of beauty today? You never know what tomorrow has in store. I wonder if they watched some old old western movies while writing some of these songs. ICBTFY, A Sight To Behold and the beginning of Combinations kind of have the feel of old Hollywood's idea of what Indian (Native American) music sounded like. This sounds like a negative comment but it isn't. _________________

I broke, and I have that really giddy feeling back that I got when I first heard it. Yeah, this is good. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |
